There are so many choices for boutique hotels in London, the mind boggles. Some are crazy expensive, and even the "mid-range" choices can be disappointing when you open the door and nothing resembles online photos. I specifically wanted one of the row hotels that combine several 19th-century adjoining homes. With the Radisson Edwardian, everything is as hoped for. Despite it's...

For a radisson blu in a prestigious part of London, I was slightly disappointed. The staff were great. The breakfast process was slow. Queues in the morning for the lady that checks our room number and name. Room was horribly small. Bathroom was good. Terrible bed. Corridors small. Door handles really low. Lift slow, and so far away from reception.

I chose this hotel because of its locality to the Royal Albert Hall (10 min walk) where we were going to see Eric Clapton. This is a beautiful hotel with lots of character and period features. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable, which was a joy after all the walking about...

I used some of my Radisson points for this stay in London and booked the Edwardian Vanderbilt for its location, thinking it would be a suitable hotel for few days in London. I'm not sure whether it was because we used points, or whether it was normal procedure but our room was the size of a postage stamp, and the...

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay with us. I am disappointed to read that the room itself did not live up to your expectations. Being a non-purpose built hotel does mean our room sizes vary and our guests may find some of our rooms more spacious than others. We also have...

I stay at this hotel quite a lot I i am slightly dubious to leave good TA reviews as it gets more poplar and I can't get in but in fairness this is a great hotel close to Tube 1 min away easy access to all central London within 10 mins. GM very nice and approachable always speaks and so...

This hotel is the old London residence of the prestigious family of that name, and as other reviewers have remarked, it retains the narrow corridors and tiny lifts that one would expect in such an old building. I have no issue at all with that; the quaint period features are what made me choose this hotel over similarly priced ones...

Dear Lebeq, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you felt 'mistreated' by the hotel team, although priority for the team is always to ensure guest safety which I am sure you will agree takes priority over any other service that we provide our guests. I hope you will return to the Vanderbilt for every other fantastic reason...

Stayed at this hotel for business for 6 days in March. It is a small boutique like hotel with very narrow hallways, tiny lifts and small rooms with single beds. Though I do understand this is much more common in this area as opposed to North American Standards. Check in was decent and the service was quite good overall. They...

Good location in a good area. Much in walking distance and close to the subway. "Typical" English hotel with narrow corridors and special rooms. Clean, neat and orderly. Lovely breakfast (if you choose the "full english breakfast). Competent and service minded staff. Personal service and have you lived there before will "remember you" in a nice way

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
