Situated in a very good and quiet district of London (Kensington), 100 meters to nearest tube station and 10-15 minutes straight walk to museum of Natural History. Room is decent and clean, average breakfast and price per day was reaching a 5-star hotel. WiFi was available only in lobby.

Staff was great, helpful and friendly room was very hot and small - disappointing. It was almost impossible to sleep in the room, as the temperature was hot. Also - the room was very small. Hope they can do better next time.

For the fee charged I was disappointed overall with this Hotel. I was very surprised that we did NOT have any Free Wi Fi in our room but could pay at an exorbitant rate for internet access, it felt like I was a cash cow and profit came first.

Stayed in a double room on the ground floor , very close to reception and the front windows where straight onto the busy room out the front but I did not notice any noise through the night. The room was of reasonable size with a big king size bed and lovely high ceilings. The staff were very pleasant and even...

Stayed here with other half for 4 nights recently. Hotel is in a great area, two minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station which is on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines. As has been said on previous reviews the hotel is on a busy main road. Hotel itself is very nice, the common areas and reception are spotless. Rooms...

We stayed at this lovely hotel on Sunday 8th April 2014 for 2 nights. The location was easy to find, situated close to Gloucester Road tube station. We were greeted by very friendly receptionists and concierge who were more than happy to help with bags, directions, information etc. We arrived before check-in time and were hoping to drop our bags...

Staff is friendly and helpful, at breakfast severely short of staff, working too hard but always friendly. Management ought to be ashamed! I hope the staff is well paid.... Breakfast buffet was great with both healthy and unhealthy food of choice. Nice lobby. Room clean and nice with flat screen tv. Wifi too expensive. Great location, easy to get about...

Stayed overnight for business and was better than many in the price range. A five minute walk from Gloucester Road tube in an interesting part of London, the spacious lobby was welcoming although I had some difficulty checking in with what I suspect was a new member of staff who insisted in me leaving a credit card exposition despite the...

I stayed for 2 nights and I have to say it’s a nice hotel and good value on a budget. Clean but small rooms and pretty well maintained. Bed was comfy and the shower and bathroom were nice. I hit the gym downstairs which was basic but done the job. I was in room 509 facing the main road and...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
