This is the second visit to the Sidney Hotel and it's been renovated (luckily, last time I stayed about 5 years ago the rooms were a disgrace, as was the dining room). We asked for a quiet room away from the street frontage and were given a newly renovated room in the basement of the adjoining property (it's all part... More

The hotel room we had was only a small one (which was fine) but it was boiling hot in there an without A/C we had to sleep with a fan on and the window wide open! The bathroom mirror was boiling hot as in you couldn't touch it! Couldn't sleep with the heat

Wanted to visit London tracing our family history so needed to stay near Victoria station without spending a fortune. Read reviews and faltered but then decided to book. Pre booked a twin room for myself and sister, Booked in without any issues and Alex explained about the refundable £25 deposit and the happy hour at the bar and where to... More

The Sidney hotel is in a perfect location close to many tourist attractions and convenient for travel and local shops/restaurants. I would stay in this hotel again. The bed was smallish but comfy. The bedding wasn't particularly pretty nor comfy however I didn't use it much for it was really hot when I visited, luckily there was a fan fitted... More

It's a great place to stay for a night or two, really clean, fresh and tasty croissants for breakfast, bathroom is fairly new and clean, room is too tight so staying here for more than a noght or two probably would make you feel claustrophobic at times especially in summer, the ceiling fan does help but it's just way too... Visited the Sidney Hotel with my partner on a weekend away in London. The hall ways are tiny,as soon as you enter the room it's a tight squeeze. There was an awful sewers smell coming from the bathroom which I must add was so small and right you could just about go to the toilet. The furniture was dated and... More

The bedroom was very small, about 36 square feet, or 4 square meters, which would probably not be legally permissible in most places. The room had an additional outer fire door, which actually inhibited leaving and entering the room because of insufficient clearance. The adjoining bathroom was also tiny but adequate, but the toilet was shared, down the hall, in... More

Booked the Sidney Hotel as we were going to the musical "Wicked", location and room was great, however breakfast in all our years of travel the worst I ever had. Consisted of croissant, toast, jam and a few cereals. No protein, egg, ham or cheese, very disappointing as I booked the hotel which included breakfast the next morning.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
