I stayed here while working nearby. My room was very nice. The bed was large and very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and in a very nice location in Wimbeldon Common. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The dinner was good although service was a bit slow on the first night as they were very...

Formally Cannizaro House, nice quite atmosphere and classic themed decor in the bar area as appropriate for the building. Great for a post dinner drink and chat without having to deal with the noise of the local village bars. Great service from the barman with drinks costing roughly £10 each and open to non residents.

I've stayed /eaten in several HdV locations but not here before. The building, atmosphere and service were all good, it's full of character & ideally situated for the Common, Wimbledon village & getting easily into town. Not cheap- never are- but good value.

Stayed here last Saturday night as an anniversary treat. Found the reception staff to be pleasant, friendly and efficient and the room (323) was a good size with a huge bed and a large TV with Sky Movies, Sports etc. The location is very nice as the hotel backs onto Cannizaro park and at the front faces Wimbledon Common. Breakfast...

The room where afternoon tea was served was pleasant. It is in the garden room which looks out onto the park. However the afternoon tea was quite simply appalling. The bagels were stale. The mini quiches were tasteless, the egg mayonnaise rolls were just awful. The cakes were equally disappointing they were cheaply made and less than appetising. The scones...

I was naturally very disappointed to read your recent review and wanted to assure you that I have addressed this with the Head Chef here. All the items on our afternoon tea are produced in-house and made fresh on the day so I am very concerned to read your comments. I do hope that should you wish to discuss this...

We have stayed here several times, and twice now since it changed hands and became the Hotel Du Vin. It's a lovely place, and this time we got an upgrade to a beautiful room on the 2nd floor. It's comfortable, with good facilities, and a capacity for something quirky to happen. Last time it was the room key: no key...

Quality in almost every aspect with a beautifully furnished room and bathroom which had plenty of space . My evening meal was really good and the hotels restaurant was a lovely place to eat with excellent service which was also very evident when enjoying a superb English breakfast the next morning.

Location - okay if you're driving, or are happy to pay for taxis throughout your stay, but it's a 20 minute walk to the nearest tube station, then 45 minutes to central London. I was aware of this before booking, but it became a chore. It's a lovely setting, bordering Wimbledon Common, and in nice grounds. Check-in - okay, though...

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. We were 3 adults and Pickle the dog. The afternoon tea was early at 15:00 on a Sunday. * Go later, if you go on a Sunday, as the conservatory was still full of lunchtime guests, a number of whom were "tired and overexcited". The service improved and the area felt less manic as the conservatory thinned out. * Afternoon...
