Stayed for one night on a business trip. Check-in was smooth and room was a good size and with attractive decor. Breakfast was good too and couldn't fault staff - especially Hollie in the bar. Issues arose after returning home and discovering I had left a small cosmetics bag in the hotel. Called housekeeping to be told nothing had been...

Sometimes it's the little touches that make the difference. For me, it was a man in a bowler hat bowing as I left the hotel. I don't think that's ever happened to me before. It's things like this that will make me remember my stay at the Waldorf Hilton. Immediately from check-in we were looked after, attentive staff we only...

My friend and I went to see Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre this weekend and booked to stay in this hotel overnight. The hotel is in an excellent location; a 15 minute walk to Waterloo station, a 5 minute walk to Covent Garden and a 5 minute walk to the Savoy Theatre. The hotel is also surrounded by lots of...

Perfect location in the middle of all the theatres as close to everytthinggggggg literally. Checked in with a wonderful gentleman named Monty from Hong Kong. Greatest service I have received in along time considering I'm abit of...

Lovely hotel in a good location for theatre district. Staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and the wifi is solid. Only 2 downsides... we couldn't use the AC because the smell coming out of it was horrendous... like raw sewage. They are very slow at serving coffee at breakfast, you are nearly finished before you get one!

Decent hotel in a fantastic location for lots of shows, bars, Covent Garden etc, all on doorstep. All staff very pleasant. Upgraded to exec room to have lounge access. Well worth it as had breakfast there and a few drinks early evening before heading out each night.

We visited the Homage Restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner! They have a table de'hote menu with good choice - 3 courses including a glass of champagne for £28.00 each! The food was very good as was the service. The wine was surprisingly cheap considering where we were! A very nice start to a super evening! Would definitely return and thoroughly...

19/5/17 Pre booked afternoon tea as a special treat so wish I had chosen a better hotel. High lights the sandwiches were not dry...... Harpist was playing restful music much needed after all the poor service. So the low points... waited 70 minutes to be served a pot of tea, waitress didn't know what teas were available, no fruit infusions...

Lovely meal! Good service! Lovely ambience! Presentation of food was good! Can't fault anything here! Would dine here again. The qualities we look for in eating out it ticked all of those boxes. The food itself was nice! Especially the hand made fries. But obvious coming to fine dine it's not the side order of chips which should be most...

As a treat from family we had a gift of tea at the Waldorf, decided to make the most of it and stay for the night and had a superior room. As part of the gift it included the Shard. The Shard kept the voucher ARGHHH we arrived and hit a problem with the staff at the Waldorf for tea,...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
