The hotel was centrally located with an eye on the cafe opposite that did splendid bacon sandwiches the next morning. It’s a shame I seldom request breakfast at a Travelodge but I find it a bit too expensive. The room was fantastic with a design as if I had different rooms. It cost quite a lot for a night though.

Such a great place to stay! I like when I am happy with the choices I make. Close to everything but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Having the restaurant right at your hotel is a huge bonus as well. Everyone working there was was pleasant and kind, you didn’t feel like you were putting anyone out by requesting service. This made for an easy trip to London. Rooms are clean and comfortable, not a lot of bells and whistles but definitely worth the money. A few little cafes right outside the hotel as well. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Lovely room. Had an iron and table top ironing board. No hairdryer but we had our own. Very clean. Were on first floor but not overly noisy. Closed window and was quiet. Brilliant location for Covent Garden. Friendly staff. The ability to leave your luggage with them before check in and after check out means you get even more time to explore london.

Hotel room was shabby, breakfast was mediocre and obviously cooked in a microwave. Linen was not cleaned properly, maid service was not very good, to be honest. Shower area needed a good scrub down. Needs a good paint. Very run down and needs updating.

I'm sorry to give this a 3 star but here's the reason why. The accomadation I can't fault, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean & the bathroom where all spotless. The corridors, lifts, reception area all spotless. We arrived back on Sunday evening & ordered a pizza, it came out absolutely roasting & was delicious. Now what I didn't like, the cooked breakfast was a let down, I couldn't eat half of mine, overcooked & very dry, the orange juice was no better, a weak orange colour & had no taste of orange. We only ate breakfast once. At the bar on Sunday night a lad from Dublin behind the bar hadn't got a clue, neither the drink ordered nor the till, all he did was talk talk talk to his mates behind the bar, not very professional. My last gripe, not suitable for a Disabled Person, from the two set of steps out the front to having to go down a side street with road works on it to get to a ramp at the side of the hotel, I wasn't impressed. Overall a tale of two halves, GOOD, nice hotel, quiet & front room staff at reception, BAD, very poor breakfast, if it was better I'd have given it a better review.…

Excellent value and location, just minutes away from the theatre district, restaurants, bars, and shops. Rooms were very clean, and restaurant/bar were very adequate. Would certainly stay here again.

My wife and I just spent the last two weeks at the Travelodge Covent Garden. Contrary to some of the reviews here, it was an excellent choice. The customer service adviser, Lauren, was amazing work with. I was having trouble with the website due to a browser issue and she walked me through the process to success. The next issue was due to our airline. They cancelled our flight and pushed our trip out by 2 days. Contacted Lauren and she made sure our room was not lost. She also took steps to insure we were on an upper floor. When we arrived at 8am 2 days late, our room was ready for us. After a long nap we began exploring the area. While the hotel does have a really good restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are also 2 great cafes out front, Café Verona and Café de Provence. We used both for breakfast almost daily. After many hours of research, we decided on the Travelodge for several reasons. 1. The location for seeing all the sites cannot be more perfect, theaters, museums, cafes, and pubs are all very close. 2. Price, really cannot be beat. 3. The room size (super room) was perfect for us. Good size bed, room for the suitcases, outlets for any electrical device. We were in room 637, very quiet floor and a view of London. 3. The staff were all awesome. Reese helped us many times with information on London. Josh helped us get tickets ahead of time for the British Museum. And of course, Lauren. She responds quickly and solves issues quickly. There are many others on the staff as well that were always helpful and kind. If you are there to see London sites or theaters, you cannot find a better hotel for location and a reasonable price. If you spend a lot of time in hotels/resorts and are looking for entertainment by the hotel, then this would not be the place. Our room was very clean, stocked with the needed items (hair dryer, hangers, iron and board, coffee/tea, towels, soap dispensers). After spending 2 weeks here, we never felt uncomfortable. After each day of endless walking around London, we were ready for our very comfortable bed. Bottomline is that I would, without hesitation, stay here again. The positives once again – location, price, wonderful staff, good food, comfortable quiet room. What more do you need when on vacation? Once more, many thanks to Lauren, Reese and Josh who helped make our stay perfect.…

Stayed here on Saturday received a very warm welcome from lady on reception. Only 5 mins away from Holborn train station. Came with my Daughter as we went to see Mrs Doubtfire at Shaftesbury Theatre which is just across the road. Bar is open until 4am,we didn’t stay for breakfast. Just a small thing to mention lady standing solo at a individual desk by the opening doors, didn’t offer to book people in and queue had formed, someone came straight in ahead of others and was then booked in. Would happily stay again.

Very disappointed this time round. Room was not cleaned when requested, had to chase for toilet paper & coffee supplies. No place to put clothes except for a few hangers...no drawers. Toilet seat was loose & to the side.

Comfy bed, quiet room. I enjoyed my stay and it felt very safe. The shower was very good and the towels were very soft, although one of them had a hole in it. Excellent location for getting an out and about in Covent Garden and Picadilly. Extremely close to the British Museum. Café area a bit too stuffy air wise. Would be good if on booking, it was explained that there was an accessible entrance around the corner, front of hotel are many steps. Also, the front of hotel could do with sprucing up, especially the steps to make it more welcoming.
