The Baileys Hotel is very well located, literally outside the exit of Gloucester Rd tube station. The room was of good quality, but a little small with the double bed pushed up against a wall. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with great options and plenty of variety. The hotel has a lovely ambience, and definitely has some old world charm.

Lovely hotel with some good staff! Resturant very good with the head lady at breakfast being fabulous at her job. The check in staff need more training. This trip was booked months ago and they could not find the booking. Even after we called a few days before to upgrade our room. The door men are great. The room was...

I would rate this as a 4* luxury hotel. It's in a fantastic location, right opposite Gloucester Rd Tube Station and surrounded by many good restaurants and bars catering to all budgets. The hotel itself is beautiful. We had a family room which was spacious, light, quiet and very well equipped with beautiful decoration. Beds are super comfy too! I...

Loved everything about this hotel. Location, smart rooms, great service, and clean surroundings. I've notice that sometime the prices are a tad bit high and sometime a wee bit lower. I don't think I would now have a problem with either. There is a market across the street, and many food shop. Pauls across the street has some killer coffee...

Great location (metro is just right opposite of the hotel), friendly staffs. Poor sound proof - can literally hear footsteps from my room ceiling all night long. Did not try any of their food & beverages hence can't comment much on that. However there are plenty of eateries along the street. Overall I would stay here again for the location.

I picked this hotel mainly because of location and the great reviews. It is located in the very nice South Kensington area on Gloucester road. The transit access is superb. It is right across the street from the Gloucester road tube station which has 3 major lines, the Piccadilly line, the District and Circle lines. Access to bus and tour...

This hotel is very well located, as confirmed by other reviewers. It's a lovely, grand old building with lots of character and its four star rating is accurate and is reflected in their rates. Without exception, every member of staff that we encountered were extremely friendly, polite and helpful - they are a credit to the hotel. All of this...

Stayed at The Bailey's Hotel for 2 nights whilst in London for work. Firstly, the hotel is absolutely stunning inside. If you are looking for a beautifully decorated hotel, The Bailey's will not disappoint. As soon as you step inside the hotel, it oozes charm! I stayed in a single room (as only me there for work!) so can't comment...

What a lovely hotel, I was welcomed on arrival by a lovely gent at the door, the reception is luxurious and well finished, the reception staff and concierge were friendly and helpful offering help with transportation and dining queries. Great location. Right next to Gloucester tube station. There's a Waitrose supermarket at that station and lotsa restaurants around the hotel. Very nice building and well maintained. My son loves to take photos at the stain glass windows. One thing to note there's no complimentary park. Paid parking is only available at their sister hotel Gloucester millennium hotel next door....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
