The hotel was very nice (I had a double room) and the location was fabulous (right across a small street to the Piccadilly line). I really enjoyed the breakfast and the service. The bed and bathroom were also great in the hotel but I was right near the service elevator and the walls were so thin the sounds of the... More

Stayed again at this fabulous hotel. So convenient for the underground station. Hotel lovely inside- quite traditional but recently refurbished. Hotel rooms beautiful- lots of attention to detail. Great selection of power points in the bedroom- complained about this before but all sorted since the refurbishment. Great breakfast. Dined in Bugis Street restaurant one evening ( part of the chain)... More

Thank you for your kind words and for making your yearly trip a "Jools and Bailey's Hotel" affair (hopefully Judy will not mind). As I heard Jools Holland say: Music can lift the spirit; it can make you cry. So does hotel experiences if one does not select the venue carefully - I am glad to read that you did!... More

My grown up family booked this hotel for one night to enable my wife and I to go to the Royal Albert Hall to see the Salvation Army Carol Concert, on 24th Nov. This was a present for my 70th birthday. Room booked 24-25th by my daughter. We then thought it would be a good idea to go a day... More

This is a very stylish hotel situated next to Gloucester Road Station and handy for the museums and shops. Check in was very quick and staff helpful and pleasant to deal with. The Bailey's is such a lovely hotel. Right across the way from Gloucester Road tube stop makes getting around so convenient. The rooms are a great size for the location, and the hotel is really elegant but comfortable at the same time. Breakfast is perfect. I think the best part of this hotel is the staff. We plan to always... More

Located literally seconds from Gloucester Road underground station, being serviced by circle/district and Piccadilly lines, this hotel's location in the heart of Chelsea is brilliant. It is surrounded by coffee shops and quaint restaurants, and small walks in any direction offer even more choice. Great hotel adjacent to Underground station and many dining choices nearby. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Upon check-in, my room wasn't quite ready, so Inga from Reception, escorted me to the Club Room where I could have coffee and chance to relax. Barman Andrei was very welcoming and attentive as was Barbara in Olives at dinner. The Doorman... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
