This is an excellent hotel. The staff are always keen to help and make you feel welcome. Nothing is a problem to them. The Horseguards has a great position for central London. It is not the cheapest place to stay but then who pays the list price! Overall super hotel and good value.

Staff were excellent - friendly and extremely efficient. We asked for early check in and the room was ready on arrival. Room was the best appointed ever with extras such as a tooth brush and a razor on top of all the other things expected. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the Thames (when it's warm enough to sit outside)...

Our family of 4 (2 children aged 10 & 11) recently stayed at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, in Westminstwr, London. We were so looking forward to a lovely 5 star hotel and ended up being so disappointed with the rooms. We booked two interconnecting Deluxe Doubles, but it was very hard to see how 2 such small rooms could be...

A great hotel, situated a two minute walk from Trafalgar Square, overlooking the River Thames and the London Eye. Ok. This is a luxury hotel, and that is obvious despite the anonymous facade. I was greeted in the lobby by extremely friendly staff. The check-in process was very good and you are given a glass of champagne upon arrival which is one of those nice touches offered by 5 star hotels. The service in the reception was really outstanding....

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
