Upon arrival the doorman greeted us with a smile and assurances that he would take care of them for us. Mo at the counter checked us in with efficiency all the while looking for ways to help us enjoy our trip. The bags followed us up to our room which was a bit smaller than we had anticipated but was...

Wonderful stay for a mother/daughter one night break. The staff are fantastic, best breakfast ever and the view from our room was amazing. My mother was treated like the queen. Just because you're paying upwards of £200 to stay here, don't expect daylight to be included in your room. The initial room we were allocated had an obscured window because it looked out into a shaft or something similar. When I complained I was told that some customers prefer it because they like privacy!!! Who are they trying to kid....

Very well appointed in a fairly old fashioned and comfy way. Everything is top notch, great food, lovely very well appointed rooms, that are quiet and relaxing. Very professional and efficient staff. It's at the top end of the price range but you do get what you pay for.

Had afternoon tea here with a colleague, which was very pleasant…however the menus looked well past their sell by dates, the waitress seemed to be a little confused with the menu i.e. the number of fillings you are asked to order, the actual earl grey and breakfast tea was warm-hot at best rather than steaming hot, had to ask twice...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
