The hotel is located in the heart of the city city very close to a tube station. It made getting round the city very quick and easy. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, you get complimentary coffee and they are happy to store your luggage after you check out. The rooms were spacious but were definitely in need of modernising. It looked more like a business office with a bed. Although the decore wasn't to our taste the bed was quite comfortable and the staff were helpful and quick when we requested more pillows. The bathroom was small but everything worked perfectly. The check out time at 12 was also very helpful. So all in all, the stay was okay.

The first room I was given had a bucket on the floor to catch leaks from the ceiling, so I had to ask for a new room. I had emailed in advance to ask if the gym needed to be booked and I as told no. Then I went down to go to the gym and found out it needed to be booked. I was never told that you had to request for your room to be serviced. Then when I asked for it (in the afternoon) I was told that I needed to give 24 hours notice. When the room was serviced, they barely did the job. I put dry cleaning in as I had a black tie event that I needed my dress steamed for. It was never picked up and nobody bothered to tell me. It was only when I asked nearly 24 hours later that they realised. No alternatives were offered except the suggestion that I find a place myself. Also, when I asked a housekeeping staff member to help me with the TV, he sighed loudly and rolled his eyes and very obviously reluctantly came in to help. Such a shame because the location is great and the front desk staff are friendly. I just can’t get over the multiple annoyances.

There was no cleaning of the room in 3 days and there was no change of towels or replacement of toilet paper. And the first morning after a run, there was no water, neither warm nor cold, to shower. So I had to use 2 bottles of water over me to sort of shower in order to go to my meetings.

I can definitely suggest to stay at Club Quarters Gracechurch. Ideal location generally (an extra plus for the easy reach of LCY Airport with DLR) The only gap is the outdated bathroom and the lack of water pressure. That is the only reason why the rate related to 'rooms' got an average mark.

I found the CQ Hotel Gracechurch through Tripadvisor and I am so grateful I did. The reviews seemed better than the prices for other hotels in this area of London, and I booked quickly (same day actually). My partner and I were already in London for a family emergency, but we needed to extend our trip and be closer to St. Bart's Hospital. Club Quarters fit the bill and them some! I don't get surprised easily, but this hotel amazed me for the price (big cheers to all the all staff--and Prakesh Joshi the General Manager who deserves special mention for his excellence and dedication). We were truly made to feel like we were at home. Any needs were responded to very quickly, and we had all the amenities we needed for a long and stressful stay due to our family issues. The building appears recently updated, the lobby has free fancy coffee all day and night, the affiliated Gaucho's restaurant is well done, and access to tubes and buses to go just about anywhere are steps away. The whole hotel was spotless, their COVID precautions are top notch, and their flexibility with helping us be comfortable and making sure we they were doing everything they could to support us as we handled our not-vacation circumstances was above and beyond. The staff left me feeling that is not just a business, it is a family devoted to making their guests' lives better. A 200-room hotel and you are made to feel like their most important guest. There is a personal commitment and pride in their work that is not only rare these in my experience but truly inspiring. Any negatives? Our TVs had some tech problems but we were quickly moved to a different (better) suite and the self-serve printer in the lobby needed more ink, but--issues so minor. The wifi is fast and reliable, moreso than at our previous hotel. And if you are a walker, the London Bridge is close by for a beautiful sunset stroll, along with so much else. Overall--I suggest you not miss out on this hotel gem in the heart of a bustling city. Ten stars!

Room Tip: The queen suite with kitchenette was great, and our room was very quiet even though we looked out...
