We stayed at the Strand Palace for 9 nights. It was comfortable and reasonably priced. We ended up getting a small room for my wife and I, but it was clean, cozy and perfectly functional for our needs. We ate at Joe Allen's steak house and went to the Gin Palace - both were very good.

Hotel's Favourite
I had read some of the negative reviews prior to staying and was a bit nervous, given we booked a non refundable option. My husband and I stayed there for our 7 year Wedding Anniversary and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, the hotel was in a great location, looked amazing and all the staff were polite and helpful. We went to the room, which was a Deluxe King room and it was lovely - the staff had put up a 7 balloon and left us chocolates and card for our Anniversary(what an incredible touch) To top it off, the room was spacious, clean and had a full stocked mini bar, which was all included in the price and had wine, beer, popcorn, crisps, chocolate as well as still and sparkling water. The room also had a coffee machine and was well equipped with toiletries. They even offered room service!!! The bed was really comfortable, one of the best nights sleep i have had in a hotel! The TV faced the bed for easy watching in the morning and the check out wasn't until mid day which was nice. Would 100% recommend and revisit. Thank you so much to all the staff for a wonderful stay

What can I say, everything is a positive. Easy check in, Ryan was very helpful and informative. Lovely reception and restaurant area. Plenty of staff about if you need anything. Room size was more than adequate (de-lux king). Two windows overlooking a courtyard but did not bother us as we were only in there to sleep. Extra large bed which was comfortable... best nights sleep I have had in ages. A bottle of fizz, balloon and card were there for my partners special birthday..Thank you. Breakfast was great, everything you could want. I read the reviews beforehand with guests moaning about it being busy at breakfast, yes it was busy but we didn't have to wait we were seated straightaway and came back with our food within minutes. Fantastic location, 15 mins to London Eye, 40 mins to St Pauls, 30 mins Buckingham palace loads of sights in between. Ate in the restaurant one evening. Make sure you are very hungry before ordering the club sandwich with fries as it was huge. Could not fault it (apart from the obnoxious man I had the unfortunate encouter with at breakfast one morning, but that is not the hotels fault, you will get them sort anywhere)!!! Definately go back there next time we go. Disliked · There was nothing we didn't like about the Strand Palace. We could not fault it. If you really want an answer.... lifts were a little busy in the morning, we had to wait 3 minutes for the lift instead of 1 minute !!!!

Arrived to find the room booked was not available so put in a small room with double not king bed. Tiny window so dark, no hairdryer. Queued for ages for a table for breakfast, had to ask twice for coffee and staff so miserable. Very expensive and certainly not good value for money.

Stayed in the strand palace for 3 nights with my husband. Location is OK, very close to Covent Garden and the lovely area of Charing Cross and Piccadily. Rooms are not to my taste, very old, not so clean, our window was dusty and I am not a picky girl. It is a big hotel, for me it felt like a busy train station. Did not try the breakfast.

When you enter the hotel it feels spacious and light, however once you go up to the bedroom floors the corridors are very dark and gloomy - shame they have been painted in such dark colours. I was checked in very quickly and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The room I was given was pretty awful - no natural daylight, as the window had some sort of white plastic painted over it. I went to reception and said I could not stay in a room with no daylight, a very nice member of staff went upstairs with me to have a look at the room and immediately said he would try and get it changed. Luckily they found me another room, as I definitely could not have stayed in the original room. The lifts in the hotel are extremely slow and people had to wait for quite a long time sometimes. Breakfast was good with a good choice.

Upon arrival, check in was straight forward and quick. After finding my room, I immediately was greeted with laundry in bags outside the room, assumsing this is to be colleceted by domestic staff. The room decor itself is pleasant and neutral. Bed and bathroom was clean. However, the walls and ceiling were not great, it looks like mould of some sort, that is on the walls. Furhermore, there had been a leak from the room above and the repair to the ceiling is poor. Additionally, there had been gifts and a welcome letter left, however, this must have been for the previous guest as it was not addressed to me, but had someone elses name on. I have tried to be fair and contact the hotel direct to deal with my complajnt regarding the condition of the hotel room, however, after sending two emails, one to the general email address on the 15th August and another email to the house managers email address on 15th September (of which, neither emails bounced back undelivered) I can only assume that the Strand Palace, are very comfortable and satifield with their customer service and really feel no obligation to pacify guests, who, work hard to pay good money to choose to stay at this establishment. Its is very disatifying that The Strand Palace have choosen to not acknowledge the development areas.

Where to start. I`ll begin with the staff. We spoke to lots of them during our visit and WITHOUT EXCEPTION they were polite, helpful and absolutely charming. The `nod to art deco`refurbishment is absolutely stunning. Rooms really comfortable and the plumbing exceptional. I didn`t know what to expect when I made this booking but to say I was pleasantly surprised is a huge understatement. The breakfast was really good, the service amazing and the server really cheerful.I`ve stayed in a lot of Hotels in London but the housekeeping here is second to none. Only have one tiny point against, and that is I could have done with a chest of drawers in the bedroom. Really recommend trying this great hotel. Its in a perfect place in London and the wonderful Covent Garden is only steps away. Get on down here

We had a superior king room and had lots of space. The bathroom was modern, but the toilet paper was in an odd location. If you want washcloths you need to ask for them. Bottles of water, tea and cookies were a nice touch. We enjoyed the breakfast, but definitely recommend going early as it gets busy. The staff was very helpful when we needed help with a medical emergency. All the staff doing our stay were friendly and helpful. I do regret that I didn't take a picture of the doorman with the top hat during our stay. Would stay here again.

I have been to this hotel many times before covid and the referb, this is my first visit since. Its still a great hotel and location it is a clean hotel and has friendly and helpful staff the room was ok the only problem was the cooked breakfast you are paying £15.00 for it you expect it to be hot the bacon was dry and the fried egg were hard do people think it should be lukewarm also the cost of my stay has nearly doubled since i first came here i suppose someone s got to pay for the referb which was done, apart from that my stay was ok
