We had stayed at this hotel before and had no complaints. However, this time during our one week stay we found a number of shortcomings. The overall impression was as well as being tired the hotel seems to have staff shortages or staff problems. Although we were out and about each morning we found when we returned to our room...

The hotel itself is very nice and the location is fantastic but our room was terrible. We were put next to the maintenance room where something that was stored made a constant noise. The room itself was freezing and had very drafty single glazed Windows. The bathroom was on the outside wall of the building so did not get warm....

Hotel is in a near perfect location for Covent Garden and / or West End. We chose as were going to a musical and between two people the room rate wasn't a bad deal. Place isn't the most contemporary decor but is super clean. We had no problems during our stay. Reception always busy and seemed a lack of staff,...

I organised a group booking here for a business event in London. The hotel was really excellent. Very professional staff, good quality of rooms (though note, a single room means a single bed!). Wifi was string in the hotel and free, and breakfast of a good standard. Would certainly stay again for business or pleasure.

This was our 3rd stay at the Strand Palace and again it didn't disappoint. Booked a standard twin and double for 4 nights, both rooms were very nice, spacious and clean with complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits and water, all staff seemed happy and willing to help. We booked direct and received a bottle of proseco and a £15 voucher...

We had a cosy room, and it was. The room was a little small, but very comfortable, nice bath room, with bath and shower and the heating worked. Lost count of the number of electric sockets in the room, even one in the wardrobe. Hotel had been nicely renovated since we visited years ago, staff all very polite, breakfast buffet...

Great location for a quick trip to London in January. Steps to Covent Garden. Like most palaces, it's huge. Maze of non-descript corridors to find your room but easy after you get used to the layout. Basic standard room did not disappoint for this price in London. Only complaint would be the cold air coming in through the windows and...

The vent in the bathroom did not work but everything was very clean, staff were very helpful. The Thames is about 1 1/2 blocks and theatre is everywhere. We went to several plays and walked to all of them.

Second time we have stayed at this hotel and it doesn't dissapoint, we had a standard double room which had everthing we required, clean and modern. Great location and within easy walking distance to theatre's, the river (great for a leisurely walk on a bright winters day) Leicester Square, Covent Garden. Great choice of places to eat.

From the moment the doorman came to my taxi to help me into the building, I was spoiled rotten by the staff. At the very quick check-in I was offered a bottle of wine, and then a box of chocolates as an alternative because I don't drink. Sadly I had to decline the chocolates too, but I was so impressed...
