What a great place to stay. Very lovely hotel right near the Notting Hill Gate tube station which was super convenient. The hotel was in a very nice and in a safe part of town. The rooms were nicely furnished and quiet. Restaurants, and pubs were right down the street only a couple of minutes away. The staff was friendly...

Thank you to our lovely guests who have travelled far from home and who we hope felt very much at home here. It's been a delight to have met you and welcomed you to Notting Hill.

Very clean and wonderful day staff, but they really need to upgrade to some sort of AC as the fan they supplied didn't help at all.We were there on the hottest day on record I believe so not complaining. Very close to tube and bus lines and very peaceful and quiet at night. Rooms were large and cozy. There are...

We chose this hotel due to its very close proximity( less than 5 minute walk) to the Notting Hill Gate tube station and because it was nearby the Portobello Road Market. It's also just a fifteen-twenty minute walk down lovely Kensington Church Street to Kensington High Street with its many shops and restaurants. We stayed two different weekends, the first...

Spent two days on a business trip. I got a double room, really big (and with cookies). Clean and fresh - and a big plus for big soft towels and very comfy bed. Really friendly staff and great service! Breakfast was good - continental with made-to-order extras, served in a cosy little garden room. That said, the hotel could use...

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback. We would love to be able to refresh this grand old Victorian villa and address precisely the items you have described - Wallpaper, bathtubs ad general decoration. Our dedicated team has poured its heart and soul into looking after the hotel as best we can within our resources...

Chosen because of good reviews, I certainly wasn't disappointed. From the warm welcome and helpful staff to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, I can't criticize much except the tight seating arrangement in the conservatory dining room. I probably had the best sleep in any hotel I've stayed in and the area itself is very safe and as a...

I liked the hotel: starting form the position. Very easy to reach, 2 minutes form the closest tube station. Then - it all depends what you are looking for. There is no elevator, the room (I was under the roof) doesn't have an air conditioning (but it was not all that hot when I was there). But you have a...

As if the strange ritual that allows one to actually get past the front door weren't enough of a bad greeting, upon entering one is welcomed by a last-time-vacuumed-ten-years-ago-and-never-ever-replaced stench of fabric in the interior. The receptionists seem bored and uninterested, but are very helpful with anything you ask them about/for and that's the only good part of the hotel....

Thank you for your comments. As is testament by the numerous reviews posted on tripadvisor, everyone has their own opinion, and this is a really great platform to express them. As we have said on numerous occasions we are clear with the information and pictures about the size of our rooms, our facilities and the style of our hotel. Perhaps...

1 minute from the tube, and 3 minutes from Portobello Road. We spent 6 nites. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful on all requests. The place is old but not without charm. The breakfast room was cheerful and the breakfast was excellent and substantial. A free International NY Times was hanging on our door every morning. Room was clean...

We were staying in The Abbey Court Notting Hill for celebrating a New Year's eve. The hotel was chosen due to several reasons: its convenient location (close to underground and Hyde park), all rooms have a personal touch and because it is Notting Hill. We especially liked the cosy-decorated conservatory where the breakfast was served. We can recommend this place...

Only 3 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station, the location cannot be improved upon; I was completely comfortable on my own in the area, even around 10 pm. The entire staff was extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. I'm not bothered by turning in room key when going out; as a solo traveler, it's nice to have some interaction with...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
