Stayed here for a 3 night stay in London with family. The hotel rooms are in major need of renovation. Rooms and furniture are very old and look like they have not been updated for years. The bathrooms were equally run down and in need of a face lift. I was in three different rooms (as we had family in...

As I did last year, I have just spent three weeks at the Kensington Forum whilst fulfilling a contract nearby. I was delighted that my employers put me up here again, as this is an amazing hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is an architectural treasure; staying in a hotel designed by a sixties modernist hero, Richard Seifert,...

We booked this hotel due to their facilities- ceiling track hoist, which can also be used in the bathroom & adjoining twin bedroom. We were so impressed with not just the facilities! All of the staff were friendly & couldn't do enough to help, fantastic food in the Tavern bar & lounge area downstairs, our rooms were refreshed daily &...

We stayed here for three nights in March to finoshmof seeing the sights we'd seen in January. The hotel itself is huge and on arrival I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of the reception hall with a Costa Coffee at one end and a lengthy reception and seating area We were greeted warmly and given the keys for our...

The hotel is conveniently located in the Kensington neighbourhood, within walking distance of the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, and Victoria & Albert Museum. Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, High Street Kensington, and Kensington Garden are all within walking distance. Knightsbridge is just a little further to the east. It is served by Gloucester Road tube station on District and...

You cannot beat the location. Close to the subway and right on the route to and from Heathrow. easy to get to the sights. If you do London pass, the double decker bus tour is only a block away. Lots of restaurants close by. Stayed here in 2012 and it is all the same. Good stay. Small room but we...

Check in was very good and all staff were pleasant and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. Can get very busy so an early breakfast is best. The drinks at the hotel were quite competitively priced. Food was nice and room service was available 24/7. The hotel is 2 minutes away...

I last stayed here back in 2013 and made a comment about the lack of free Wifi in the hotel. I was pleased to be able to stay again, and noted that indeed the wifi is indeed free. The Hotel is large - I think it has 23 floors, but is well organised. The elevators can get very busy at...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
