This hotel was perfect to use as a base for 3 nights in London. It was clean, small and there was some paint chipping off the wall. Everyone was very nice and the concierge very helpful. We did an early check in for no extra cost and used their complimentary luggage storage before we left for the airport. It was...

I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and baby. This is your average, run-of-the-mill hotel. Nothing great but not shabby either. The rooms were relatively small but I think that is pretty standard in London but they were clean and we were able to work with the room we had (we had a queen bed and pull out...

I have been here mfrom location I have already reviewed it. I used to love it and I gave it another chance. But apart from location, as ever and a quite good breakfast ( which I must say it was not as good as it used to be, many things lacking the two days I were there), and though having...

Beautiful location. Very secure and clean. Basic rooms of course but was happy to have a desk, wifi, access to laundry facilities, hot shower. It was a peaceful stay and I was researching at the V&A so it was awesome to just be able to walk just a couple of hundred metres to the museum!

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights while attending a conference. The plus - underground station Gloucester Road just a couple of minutes from the hotel, Picadilly line direct to Heathrow; had a room on 27th floor with great views over London, and the windows actually open. Recently stayed during a six night vacation. The location was terrific and safe, close to the Gloucester Rd. tube stop and within close walking distance of restaurants/cafes and a couple of grocery stores. The room was small, but very clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The reception staff was friendly and accommodating. We did not eat any meals at...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
