We stayed for 1 night on a Sunday in May. We had stayed before and been satisfied. This time we thought the small bedroom was looking a bit worse for wear, in need of redecorating. The net curtains were very dirty and the carpet had not been thoroughly hoovered. The bathroom was very small but compact, and the paintwork/beading in...

I have been staying at this hotel since 1997. I like the worn down appeal of an old english country house. Personally I do not like glitzy gold and reds which most newer hotels use in their furnishing. The bed sheet quality is superb being egyption cotton, I think. The beds are comfortable and a/c works ! The staff are...

The South East branch of Women in Property hosted the 25th Anniversary party at this hotel on Friday 17 May for 156 guests - the ball room looked fantastic, the food was delicious and we danced the night away. The support from all the staff made the organisation of this one-off event a joy - Thank you Daianna (Events team),...

Stayed 3 nights in a 204 pounds a night room on the first floor for business and vacation. Besides good location facing a park and near Hyde park, nothing is perfect. Starting from checking-in. The clerk did not give free wi-fi code. Breakfast was 22 pounds a person. Amenities were average. Front staff not very helpful nor friendly. Had to...

I recently stayed here for a business conference and while the location is excellent ( very near the Bond Street tube station) and the area beautiful there were a couple of things that let this hotel down. The bedrooms are rather tired and dated compared to the public rooms ,also 1) no free Internet ( it is really time that hotels...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
