I always stay at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair but this time my stay was very unsatisfying. First of all I was over booked for my prepaid stay. Second, I was given a much smaller room than I had paid for because I had paid for a superior 36m room and was first given a tiny room not more than...

I am normally a Kensington Girl when visiting London but I had my daughter with me and only 48 hours to do London, shopping and all so I had to be in the thick of it, shopping wise. Harvey Nicholls, Harrords, Shelfridges, Regent St and my personal fav, Fenwicks on New Bond all nearby. This hotel would have had The...

This was a very special trip as it was to celebrate my wife winning a competition; completing her PGCE course; & last, but by no means least, her birthday. We arrived mid afternoon on Saturday & were given the choice of 2 suites - plumping for the one on the 7th floor. This had a view over Grosvenor Square; was...

I stayed here for just one night. A few things were fine: staff, wide spaces and breakfast. The hotel is a four stars and was mentioned as a luxury hotel....but maybe once upon a time. The hotel and the room need to be refurbished at all.

I have been staying at the Millennium Mayfair for the last three years every time I was in London. The staff were very courteous and helpful, the room... let me tell you about the room. The first time I was there, I was given a Studio Suite. It was magnificent! The second and third time, I was given a Club...

Stayed four nights at this upscale hotel (pricey)which is located directly across from the American Embassy; nice park to sit in and relax right across the street; and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and most attractions. Room was modern and clean. Had drinks at bar one night - good. Staff was very attentive even when housekeeping took a bottle of...

My husband and I stayed for one night, we had a very comfortable room overlooking the park and were able to book a late checkout which was great. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again. Superb location for shopping also.

Booked a twin room for a one night stop for me and my daughter through Booking.Com at around £194 and not sure whether this prompted the hotel to put us in a room at the back of the hotel on the first floor. We were woken to the sound of bins being filled from the hotel opposite and lots of...

Stayed for one night. Grand daughter had interview at American embassy which was across the square, 5 minute walk to oxford street for great shopping. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely twin room with a view of the square. Expensive for a room only but it seems London hotels are quite pricey. Didn't bother with breakfast as loads of...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
