So my friend previously dined here and had a bad experience. They offered a complementary meal for the trouble she had previously experienced when dining with her partner. She kindly invited me along last night. I imagine Saturday is their busiest night. Was delightfully surprised as i didnt have high hopes after her previous experience. All the staff were attentive,...

Enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon tea with friends. Perfect location. Staff very attentive. Atmosphere very relaxing. Started with a beautiful fragrant tea, chosen from a presentation box. Our teas arrived together, and depending on chosen tea, we had a coloured sand timer, for time to steep tea. We could order as many teas as required. The cake stand consisted of...

Hotel is old and creaky with steps up here and steps down there. No ventilation in bathroom. Breakfast was terrible. Rug in room was filthy and TV was broken and then replaced. Staff is quite nice but infrastructure needs a major redo. Stay somewhere else.

This is a small room by American standards, it's got a funky tub in the smallish bathroom, they need to re-caulk a little and fix the peeling paint on the ceiling (and installation a ventilation fan would help with this issue)...but it's a clean, compact and cute hotel room (twin). The lobby is charming, people are very lovely, and adjoining...

Hotel is a 12 minute walk from St James tube station and is 3 minutes from the Buckingham palace. Its a lovely walk through the Royal parks and in a great location for Westminster and Pall Mall. Had one of the tastiest breakfasts ever – so well done to the kitchen/chef. Had a very poor experience when it came to...

We absolutely love our nights away in London Town! This hotel location is absolutely ideal. It is so close to everything...Mayfair, Bond St, etc. The staff are brilliant and very accommodating. The only reason I review it at 3 is because the rooms are aged for a Hilton.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
