The hotel has a great location, close to shops, museums and quite a few restaurants. Also it is only a couple of blocks away from South Kensington underground station with the Piccadilly line that connects straight with Heathrow. We had an executive double bedroom, quiet and comfortable, with modern sober décor and a well-equipped bathroom of good size where you...

Had a great experience with the customer service and overall stay at the hotel. Comfortable Bed and space. The highlight of the hotel I would say, for me, was the location. It is about 4 minutes walk from South Kensington Station (Tube) which makes it super easy to get around London. The station is only 3 stops from Victoria Station...

We reserved an executive double room. When we arrived, the first room we were placed in was very small compared to the photos on the website. We asked and were moved to another room. It didn't look like the one on the website, either, but it was okay. During the night we were awakened by a loud pop and flash...

We enjoyed another return visit to the Rembrandt, this time for two nights. The hotel is well located for tourists in the Museum Quarter at the W end of Knightsbridge. There are excellent public transport links nearby, including the South Kensington Underground with three lines and a direct link to Heathrow. Both upmarket retail therapy and a wide range of...

Second time we've stayed and would always stay here when visiting this part of London. Staff friendly and professional and very comfortable throughout. Well appointed and the scrambled eggs at breakfast were the best. Perfect when visiting the Royal Albert Hall.

We stayed for 3 nights here in a Classic Double room. Great location as it is right opposite the V&A Museum - which is amazing! Service was friendly and the concierge was most helpful - we appreciated the bottle of wine we received for our anniversary! Breakfasts were very busy, but the food & service was great. The only negative...

My husband and I stayed at The Rembrandt in early March. We had not heard of The Rembrandt – sadly, it isn’t featured in any of the tour books we used – but the online reviews were strong and the location and online photos looked promising. It turned out that The Rembrandt was an excellent choice for our week-long stay....

We had stayed already stayed one night in London in a rented property where unfortunately the bed was of a poor quality. We arrived at the front desk of the hotel to ask if rooms were available & explained how my husband's back was causing him problems. The receptionist and porter were great, they offered to arrange for a board...

Front of house friendly . The restaurant is open and pleasant. The waiting staff are very rude, trying to collect plates from your table, when all the guests have not finished. This felt uncomfortable. Even when told, a waitress again tried to clear the table when someone was still eating. Far to eager to finish service..... food was ok... a...

Excellent Hotel, Some modern, some british Style, fine Breakfast - really enjoyed our stay. Pricing is reasonalble - at least for London and the fine Location just opposite the V&A-Museum and in walking distance from the picadilly line.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
