Chose hotel for interesting location and ease of access to O2 Arena Tennis by riverboat. Cost for 2 nights, inc breakfast, was as expected for a mid/upper range hotel in London. Check-in was quick, easy and helpful, but that could be partly down to the timing, mid afternoon instead of early evening. The room was comfortably spacious with a full... More

Great location and great sky lounge. Then get to breakfast, 10 minute queue to get in, needs to be double the size!! Then another queue for food, fried eggs hard, hash brown soggy and cold, run out of beans and mushrooms. Lady in front asks waiter for fresh and he then stands and chats to another waitress for 30 seconds... More

This is a giant business hotel in the centre of the City and in the middle of Christmas party season, it was very busy. Nevertheless, I managed to check in quite quickly. Before I went up to my room, I was given a warm chocolate chip cookie which was a nice touch. My room was pretty standard for a business... More

Weekend away with friends (8 couples). The hotel was brilliant, friendly and close to our arranged venue night out. Staff and rooms 10/10. Breakfast following morning was top quality and staff very helpful. Will stay again when next up in London

A very average stay in this monolith given the price. This is a huge hotel and it felt like staff were overwhelmed when I tried to check in on a Friday evening. No acknowledgment of my Hilton Platinum status at any point in the stay. Pokey room and an even smaller bathroom. The room feel is neither one thing nor... More

Yet again another wonderful short stay whilst visiting friends. The rooms very nice warm and impeccably clean. As one would expect everything was in perfect working order. All staff wonderful and friendly. Did not eat in restaurant so unable to comment but had a lovely martini before going out with friends. Reception was well managed and friendly. I am looking... Well located quiet hotel in a prime location in London, certainly worth a stay. Staff are good, rooms are comfy if a little small, but the hotel is very well located, and being tucked back it is quiet free of road noise as well. The only downside is you want silence the A/C during the night should you wish to... More

Nice hotel, good local. Rooms good size for a London hotel, nice and clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. Highlight was the views from the Sky Lounge on the 12th floor!

Stayed here for 3 nights, room was a good standard with complimentary bottles of water. We had breakfast included which was very busy but the staff coped well with this. The food at breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Great location with friendly helpful staff we really couldn't fault this hotel.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
