We stayed there for five days, and had two rooms in our reservation as my mom travelled with us. Af first glance the hotel looks nice, but very soon you will notice that it is not. The hotel managers seemed greedy as you have to pay extra, or leave a high security deposit for Everything. For example, loaning an english...

Dirty carpet in rooms, toilet was moldy, the bath didn't drain so we had to shower in water up to our knees almost. No free wifi, breakfast was a bit poor. Only positive surprise was the beds. Clean linen, comfy beds. Would never return to this hotel.

I requested an upper floor room weeks prior to arriving as I was aware of the reviews of basements rooms in this hotel. On arrival we were given a basement room. It was horrific in the extreme. Tiny, windowless,no telephone signal, no landline working, no wifi. The bed just fitted in the room with a miniature bathroom. On complaining a supervisor /manager allocated us...

Dear Colm54321, I was most disappointed to read your experience was let down by your room allocation. Unfortunately, the only rooms we had available when your reservation was made were our lower ground floor rooms. I have left a note on your profile with your room preferences and we will make sure to allocate a room on a higher floor...

One night stay on a Superbreak concert package. We would rate this as a 2 star and I would say a budget backpackers type of place to stay. The reception looks nothing like the photo, is dirty and scruffy and not well kept, the rooms aren't much better, with the curtains not closing properly and hanging off the track, actually...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay (10th - 14th April 2017) We had 2 rooms booked. We ended up with one twin (good size) and a double (a little snug) on the 4th floor. Walls and hallways a little battered but rooms very clean. Some very noisy guests and paper thin walls meant that we were woken...

We stayed here last year and loved it- great location for all of London, friendly staff, plenty on offer for breakfast and a decent room for the price. This time, however, we were given one of the basement rooms which was a bit grim-dark with dated decor and damp smell, unfortunately. That said, the room/bathroom were clean and the shower...

Now I've been here Ivan very surprised at some of the reviews. Staff were helpful and room was clean and modern. Location great about 6-7 minutes from the tube. Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
