I have looked through other reviews and totally agree with the majority of terrible customer service from staff and being charged double!!!!! We were told if we did not pay for the room again - which had been paid for in full at the time of booking in JUNE!!!! - that we would be unable to stay! Also, I paid...

Overall the hotel was great! The staff were friendly and always there if you needed something. The prices within the hotel bar, spa area and dinning were reasonable. The room wasn't the cleanest but for a place to sleep for the weekend it was great. Was disappointed with the state of the room though.

I've stayed here a number of times. I know it's not amazing but reasonably priced. I checked in today, went to my floor (3) and gagged when I stepped out of the lift. All along the corridor and into my room was a strong, musty, damo smell. I went straight back to reception and, after checking behind the door with...

Just returned from this hotel this is not for star. It is situated in a good area 5mins walk to tube DLR and boat. Lots of shopping and restuarants but a bit pricey. Hotel very shabby, food was alright most of hotel staff helpful and friendly. Our room was clean bed comfortable but very shabby not worth the rates. I...

Stayed here back in April as it was my wife's birthday and I held a party for her nearby in a private venue. I have not been to another Britannia hotel, but if they are anything like this one the brand/offering needs a desperate refresh. The reception area looks like it's under-furnished but is well-lit. The rooms are nice but...

Arriving very late due to work commitments I was asked to pay again for my room even though this had been paid for on a company card earlier that day. This meant that the room had been paid for twice. The staff kept on and on about security and their new policy which they could not produce any documentation to...

Ok, this hotel is a bit dated, which I can forgive. What I can't forgive is the experience I had of being charged twice (knowingly!) yet having to justify my asking for my money back. My company frequently book me into hotels and prepay so that I don't have to foot the bill and reclaim. However, even thought company had...

This is hotel is extremely handy if proximity to Canary Wharf is a requirement. Only 5 mins walk to tube line (Jubilee) or DLR. it can be a little noisy due to DLR passing frequently but ear plugs block out the noise entirely. There's a good Italian restaurant on the ground dloor, alongside a traditional, English pub. Gym and pool...

Like many of the Britannia chain in the UK needs a refresh. Rooms are tired and need updating. Expensive night £150 and no breakfast. Wifi is supposed to be free but is really poor and intermittent. Moved to another hotel later in the week. Breakfast is good but again expensive. so got my own from tesco up the road. its...

There are reasons for it 7.1 score in booking, there are reasons you know. It was VERY cheap for a four stars hotel in London, however I did not get it from pictures. At the second I saw the building I got the reason. IT'S OLD. The most ugly building in the area, decorating in 70's even older style. And...
