The location was very convenient, close from the station and bus, but the room was too hot to sleep because the controller didn’t work. A light in the bathroom was out so it was too dark. The reception was short of staff.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 in a deluxe double room with Breakfast. Check in was quick and easy. We also received complimentary warm cookies for the room. Upon getting to the room there was a faint fishy smell which continued into the room. Nothing over powering but noticeable. The next night returning to the room it smelt like a meat and potato pasty so guessing the smells were rising from the restaurant. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a view over the Secret Garden which we appreciated at night winding down after a full day of activities. The bathroom was clean but you could see natural wear and tear with regards to the bathroom grouting and the odd hair, I’m guessing off housekeeping but it certainly didn’t effect our stay. Breakfast was really nice. Plenty of choice between hot and cold. The coffee machine also serves a nice cup of coffee and you get one to take away. Check out was quicker than check in so really impressed on the whole. We would recommend this hotel and we will certainly be returning as the location is great, it’s away from the hustle and bustle but in easy access to the station, museums, Kensington Palace/Gardens and Hyde Park.

Stayed as a family of 4 and were very pleased with the hotel. Room was a good size and as described. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location great and cleanliness high across the board. Children were delighted with the warm cookies on arrival! Only thing we’ve docked a star for is the heat of the room. We were melting. Air con was on cold and still really warm. Great if you like that but we really don’t.

We'd booked a room with balcony for a weekend in London and on arrival we were told it was not available due to "issues identified by the engineers." So our visit started with disappointment. Instead we were allocated a ground floor apartment which was described as the presidential suite. The apartment had a self-contained entrance along from the main hotel entrance, and had a very large lounge area, large bedroom, kitchen and two bathrooms. So very spacious but the odd assortment of furniture was not presidential and the fittings very dated. The bedroom had a door to the back garden of the hotel which provided the only natural light into the room, which was overall quite dark. The garden had a number dining pods along with a "secret beach". We had one meal in a pod and the service and food was excellent. The hotel was in a good location with a tube station opposite and close to the V&A, Albert Hall, National History and Science museums. Breakfast was self service and fairly average - a feel of school canteen. Access to the garden closed surprisingly at 10pm, but service at the bar was ok. Due to covid staff numbers seemed low which was most noticeable with long waits at reception, but all the staff we spoke to were very helpful. Public areas were all clean with plenty of access to eg hand sanitiser. We attended a theatre in the west end which was a short tube journey away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for the location.

We were really pleased with this hotel. It is very central - Gloucester rd tube station is literally across the road. We were able to walk to the Natural History museum and Harrods. The hotel was clean, tidy and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay again.
