I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during December 2012. I was not impressed for the facilities available in comparision with the price of the hotel. This was the third hotel I stayed at during my time in London and I found that the two other hotels far surpassed the Crown Plaza on price, convenience, comfort and location. If...

Dear Meiow I am sorry that you have downgraded your review of our hotel due to there being a flight of steps between the platform and the lift in Gloucester Road tube station. Unfortunately this is not something we are in a position to do anything about, although our porters will always be pleased to help you with your luggage,...

Love the location and overall a safe option. We were surprised that wifi was not free when the hotel across the road charged us less for a bigger room with bigger beds and free wifi. The lobby provided slower Internet access than dial up, and we were then charged £13 for a local phone call.

Dear Redrosehorse I am sorry that your opinion of the hotel was spoiled by having to pay for wi-fi. Our charges are pretty standard accross most London hotels, although we do offer free wi-fi to guests in Club rooms and suites as well as to all our Gold and Platinum Priority Club members. My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for two nights in December; we had a standard Double room which was everything we would have wanted, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom with separate bath and shower and Excellent toiletries. Dear Frugby 1 Thank you for your review, I am sorry that the cost of wi-fi stopped you from giving us a 5/5 rating. Like most London hotels we do charge for our high speed wi-fi at £15 per 24 hours which is comparable to most other hotels. However, unlike most hotels, we give wi-fi free of charge to guests...

Great hotel, and room was spacious for our family of four that included two teenagers! From our research it appeared that most hotel rooms in London would be small and cramped for four adult-sized people but our room at the Crowne Plaza Kensington had two queen beds, a spacious bath, and even a wardrobe/office nook...bigger than our hotel room in...

Dear S Burch Thank you for your review of our hotel, I am so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay. Our rooms are certainly larger than the average London hotel bedroom, and our Deluxe rooms ( which have two Queen beds) are particularly spacious and ideal for families. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
