We had booked tickets for the ballet Sleeping Beauty at the Royal Opera House in Convent Garden, so I used some of my loyalty points to book a couple of nights in town. This is the third or fourth time that we have stayed here over the years and we have always found the staff to be very friendly and...

I was here for business for two nights and it was more than adequate. The rooms feel a little dated but they are in good shape and quite clean. For a family it would be tight but fine for business travel. The location is just adjacent to the Green Park stop on the Piccadilly tube line so it couldn't be...

Stayed here for a few nights en route to a European Tour. Rooms are a bit drab, but do what they need to do. They are certainly very clean and the bed was mega comfortable. Spent a few hours each night in the ground floor bar. The décor is pretty bland, but the bar staff - Joseph, Karolina, Alena and...

Great location and good breakfast. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast not included in price for us, but not too expensive. Rooms a little tired and bar is pricey, but to be expected given the location.

Medium range hotel with good proximity to various Mayfair locations, rooms are not particularly well-updated and a bit cramped, and not much of a lobby to speak of. If you are just looking for a decent place to sleep and hang your hat while visiting London, it certainly suffices fine for that. There is a supermarket across the street, so...

The hotel is in a great location for a sight seeing visit to London. The nearest tube station is Green Park which is just two minutes walk. Buckingham Palace is a short stroll across Green Park approximately 10 minutes and another ten minutes gets you to Westminster. Bond Street is a two minuets walk in th opposite direction from the...

We went on organised walks around the city, enjoyed some great meals, saw two great shows and were looked after VERY well by the hotel staff. The hotel is perfectly located in mayfair close to Green park station and all the best restaurants on foot. But it is old, the rooms are very small with no fresh air and the housekeeping is extremely poor. Breakfast is ok, but is not good value for the money: if the reception guys like you, it is free!.. if not,...

The room we got on the 5th floor was very old. Even though the location was good but there are many of the things that were not as expected from HI hotels. We had stayed in lots of HI around the world but all I can say is here is the most lousy HI. The staff service at HI was...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
