This Marriott has a great location but is not worth the money. When checking in, we asked for an upgrade and they didn't have one. So, we went ahead and checked in and went to our room. Later that afternoon, I was sitting in the reception area and two people checked in and asked for an upgrade and, amazingly, they...

We stayed at the Marriott County Hall in October for 2 nights - a fabulous hotel in the heart of London. When we arrived we were promptly met by a customer service agent who treated us like royalty and made sure that our upgraded room was going to be ready soon and assured us that it would be worth the...

The hotel has a fantastic location on the Thames, and we paid the extra to get a "Big Ben" view. It's breathtaking to wake up to the bells chiming and to look over the water at this glorious landmark. The hotel is contained within County Hall, a lovely old building next to the millennium wheel. There's loads going on close...

What a place, nice rooms, east to get to, easy to get on the tubes or trains, attractions within walking distance, London Eye right out your window and Big Ben across the river. What more could you want.

Along with many other people we suffered from very intrusive building noise whilst attempting to enjoy our afternoon tea. I realise it is difficult to keep an old building like this up to scratch whilst achieving 'business as usual' but it would have been better to have found a different room in which to serve tea. Views v. Noise I...

Dear Ms Annabelle, Thank you for your kind review and feedback regarding your recent experience in the Library. I am glad that you found our staff overall kind, am however disappointed to learn that your afternoon tea has been shadowed by the noise from building works and the mentioned attitude of one of our associates. Please be informed that an...

London's old County Hall was the perfect choice for our London holiday. We upgraded to executive level so the rooms had a fantastic view of Westminster and the Thames. The English Breakfast in the library each morning made the cost of the upgrade feel like a steal. Hanging out in Gilroy's throughout the day as well reconnoitered from various spot...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
