Some aspects of this hotel are excellent, some are OK and some are not. Like the curate's egg - good in parts.
Public areas are pleasant with plenty of seating areas and the reception staff are highly professional and friendly. I had a single room...More
My room and bathroom were small but adequate, comfortable bed. I had to turn off the extractor fan in the bathroom as it rattled loudly non-stop. Some renovation in progress somewhere below my room, so sadly loud drilling during the day.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
