This is our second visit to the Royal Lancaster and even without the very generous upgrade we received (breathtaking panoramic views of London from our suite - thank you!) this would still be a five star experience. Mr Yilmaz, Doreen and the team effortlessly balance friendliness with professionalism and even arranged “afternoon tea” for our dog! (Earl Greyhound anyone?) Spotless modern rooms, fantastic staff, round the clock room service and a wonderful location. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Spent 3 nights in the Royal Lancaster, London to celebrate DHs birthday. Have to say that I cannot think of anything which could have been better from check in to check out. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room was a deluxe view on Floor 14 with a view of the city skyline and also taking in part of Hyde Park. The room was spotless with all the amenities that you need, including a fridge, which is always handy. Bathroom was a decent size with a very good shower. Bed was very comfortable and the room air-con was a welcome bonus in Londons recent high temperatures. Breakfast on our 3 mornings was simply superb. Very good choice of hot and cold items. Staff at breakfast were excellent - very friendly and cleared away plates etc very quickly, which doesn’t happen everywhere. The hotels location is obviously excellent for Hyde Park, and the shops on Oxford Street are only a 10-15 minute stroll away. For further sightseeing, dining etc, there is a tube station at the rear of the hotel - 2 minutes from the main entrance. So within 15-30 minutes you can be anywhere from Tower of London to Wembley Stadium, and it’s an inexpensive way to get around. All in all, a really great stay and we will certainly return, very probably next year. One tip - we had initially booked the hotel through a 3rd party and we were happy enough with the price, even though it didn’t include any breakfast. However we signed up to the hotels “Friends of the Royal Lancaster” website and we got a cheaper price, which also included a room upgrade and best of all breakfast. Well worth a couple of minutes of our time…
I have travelled extensively and stayed in some of the most opulent hotels worldwide and the Royal Lancaster is now among them. The location is perfect for exploring London and the facility is scrupulously maintained but kudos must go the fabulous staff. From check in to check out you are treated with the utmost respect and friendliness.Everyone is warm and welcoming but I particularly appreciated Clara who hosted our wonderful afternoon tea and the always smiling and supremely helpful concierge Sebastian. Thank you to everyone for making our vacation so pleasant and memorable.
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally customer services oriented- friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with great marble bathroom- lots of storage for toiletries. Bar and restaurant high value- food offerings good without being overpriced. Neighborhood is lovely. Near Hyde Park and Paddingtin station. Had a lovely 4 night stay while visiting for a wedding.
We have stayed at The Royal Lancaster twice in the last 12 months, both times were superb. The hotel itself is grand, offering high quality rooms with stunning views. Though the service is the highlight for us, as the staff were personable and provided a fantastic service throughout, something that is hard to find these days. Highly recommended.
I booked the Royal Lancaster as a 60th birthday treat for my husband last week. I stumbled across it whilst looking for a Thai restaurant, having found the acclaimed Nipa Thai, I discovered it was situated in the hotel. I was absolutely delighted with my stay. On arrival, knowing we were early, I dropped my bags and chatted with the lovely ladies on reception, they were genuinely excited that I had chosen to spend this special occasion with them, my husband was fussed over and greeted warmly by everyone! I had a telephone call to let me know that our room was ready and was informed we had been given an upgrade. Wow!! It was a beautiful suite, with fresh fruit and a stunning birthday cake. The views over Hyde park were spectacular. Our meal in Nipa Thai was also exquisite from starters to desserts we were treated like royalty, the staff were so humble and friendly, not just to us but to everyone in the restaurant. We popped into the bar where series’s again welcoming. On return to our room our bed had been turned down and we slept like logs. Breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and all so fresh. I think because it is a family run hotel, not a chain, the staff and service go beyond all expectations. My husband loved his night, thank you so so much for making it so special. Despite all the problems in hospitality at the moment, you are like a breath of fresh air. A very special thank you to the ladies on reception on Wednesday 14th, you made an old Welsh couple very happy 😁😁❤️❤️…
I write this review not to express how excellent this hotel is , which I believe this is one of a perfect hotel in London. I am really appreciate your help and support during i stayed at Royal Lancaster London. I am really glad I chose this hotel and hope to go back soon.....
We have had a stunning 2 night stay at the hotel, we traveled to pay our respects to the late queen, the hotel is very well kept with excellent staff and facilities. The room was very clean and modern, the show was the best I've ever had the pleasure of using. The breakfast was amazing.
The location of the hotel is superb, just a minute walk to Hyde Park. I enjoy jogging in the morning, walking to Bayswater for Chinese restaurant and walking to Oxford street for shopping and dinner. Thank you Mita for ur arrangement and welcome Champaign. Thanks to Francesco for your warm welcome on our late checked in night. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit in London.
What an amazing hotel. My wife and I spent a weekend in London to see some shows and selected this hotel, what a fantastic choice. They staff were superb, not being used to 5 star accommodation I didn’t know what to expect and it was truly an experience. The location in perfect and the rooms and bars sublime. Loved every minute.
