I was quite disappointed from a hotel that charges more than 100 £ per night. The only two things about this hotel is the good location (5 min walk to subway) and friendly staff. What is wrong in this hotel is the room. We got a mini room for 3 people and micro bathroom. The matresses of the beds were...

All our staff members stay there. The location of the hotel is very good. The reservation desk is always exerted with the bookings and always offers the best hotel rooms. The employees of the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

Location was excellent very close to Portobello Rd, shops, restaurants, great English pubs with great lunches. The Hotel itself staff couldn't do enough to help, very accommodating and obliging. We arrived in London and due to significant issues with our previously arranged accommodation elsewhere they were most kind and helpful in assisting us late at night, supportive, nurturing and caring....

The biggest advantage is the location, beautiful and quiet Nothing Hill. Five minutes walk to "Noting Hill Gate" station with 4 tube lines makes it a great base for sightseeing London. Within a walking distance to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park and if you want to go any further, take the bikes which are just around the corner (my preferred...

This hotel is well located if you don't have a car, it's easy from the tube, there's places to eat and drink nearby without spending a fortune, it's at the end of the famous Portobello Road, and seems family run and friendly. There are a lot of independent shops and eatery, pub, similar around, not so much branded, but I...

After viewing other hotels in the area, we found this hotel satisfactory for a three night stay at a reasonable price. We were given a triple (one double and a single bed) at the cost of a double due to ongoing construction in a hotel dating around 1860. Beds were a bit soft but just ok. Coffee/tea were available at...

Visited this hotel last Christmas due to the great location. Beautiful old building which is in high need of an upgraded, except of the friendly but little unprofessional receptionist no positive points about this hotel. Rooms very old, bathroom disgusting and paint is falling of the building. Notting hill hotel: please upgrade, it could be wonderful!

We stayed in room 24, which was simple but clean and looked like it had new carpets and had been recently refurbished. The bathroom was tiny but, given that we only paid £50, we can't really have any complaints. Great value. The desk staff were quite friendly. Could do with some proper wi-fi!

Stayed for 10days. Hotel was under refurb so was a bit noisy at times however was clean and worth your money. Missed a few things in the room like a place to hang your towel in the bathroom. The taps I would replace as the rest of the room looks great they are a bit grubby but that's me being...

I stayed at Notting Hill Hotel several times from 2004 until 2011 with adult students from Germany. I must say I can´t understand bad feedback for this hotel. All my students loved the hotel for perfect location in the middle of Notting Hill, opposite a quiet park so you can leave the window open at night in busy London and...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
