Recently returned from a trip to London, Paris & Edinburgh. As part of planning the trip, looked at hotels in those locations that are part of the frequent traveler programs we use. I made my reservation for the Rydges Kensington via the Discovery Loyalty (Global...More
The location to the Gloucester Road tube station was ideal for hopping on to go explore. Also really useful for the Royal Albert Hall where we saw the brilliant Foreigner perform. However, the room was not so good. Okay it was classed at the bottom...More
I have stayed in this hotel the last several times I visited London. I think it is a great hotel! The staff are really friendly at check in and check out - they always help my carry my ridiculously heavy luggage down the stairs!
Perfection location to for travelling on the Piccadilly line- takes you everywhere you need to go! Had some lovely, slightly overpriced, breakfasts in the restaurant down stairs. Staff were friendly and acomodating. Room was present. Enjoyed there was a gym available.
Having just returned after a night away at Rydges Kensington I thought I would leave a brief review.
Great location - as in brilliant, on the picadilly line and is straight across the road from the station.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
