I'm a platinum customer and know the Marriott properties throughout London very well. If you enjoy rooms with a nod to your proverbial British grandmum, then this place is for you. Don't expect your room to be ready at check-in, even if it's supposed to be by 3pm. And don't expect your loyalty to be rewarded. Want a personal touch?...

It's a conference hotel at heart- the great room and ball rooms are two great dining areas but the public spaces are my favourite- especially the Red Bar which is my top spot on the strip. I wouldn't consider staying here but it's a great beast and serves its purpose well. Now a Marriott , standards are improving!

We had a most enjoyable stay and the staff were extremely courteous and accessable. They tended to our every need and the rooms were very spacious and well maintained. Maid service was first class. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to London. We only had a slight problem paying with a gift card. They billed my...

The hotel lost my luggage for about 6 hours, they asked me to look in the luggage hold to help try and find it. The staff in the luggage hold were swearing at each other and were oblivious that a guest was in the luggage room. They had put my suitcase with confidential business documentation and computers in another guests...

I had a very rough start to my first experience after many many years returning to the Grosvenor House a JW Marriott Hotel. I came here to see if the refurbished suites overlooking Hyde Park deserved a review in the 22nd edition of the Classic Magazine. The first room allocated though very spacious must have been used all night by...

It has been a number of years since we stayed at Grosvenor House so it was nice to return to the Hotel as we stayed for the big Boxing Fight (Joshua Vs Klitscho) at the end of April. Since our last visit the lobby seems to have been refurbed and modernised and it's pretty special. The location of the Hotel...

We arrived in the early afternoon at Grosvenor House. From the moment we arrived we felt well taken care of by the staff. Our room was not ready which was disappointing since we had been traveling for 11-12 hours from Montana, USA. However, one of the gracious members of the concierge staff sat us in the Park Lane restaurant for...

My husband and I stayed a week at the Grosvenor House in March. What a wonderful hotel. As my British cousin said "swanky". Service was exceptional. This is now my go to hotel whenever in London. The food in the executive lounge was fantastic!!! A nod to the chef!!!

Quiet solo dinner never made a sound visiting this place for an evening tea. Reservation confirmed 3 weeks prior and it was not found upon my arrival. No recall of apology and waited 20 minutes to be seated. Supposed to be 1.5 hour free flow champagne but it basically stopped 1 hour since seated. Solo Asian, was it the cause?

Great location. Impressive building. Always good to visit. Good bar area and venue facilities in basement. Also can get parking around the rear where hotel has an manned car park. Location makes for a special night.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
