Very nice JW Marriott - excellent service with nice amenities. Rooms are spacious for London, with nice bathrooms. Extremely comfortable. Location is nice, near Hyde Park. It is a 10 minute walk to the Hyde Park Corner tube station, which is a bit far (depending on the weather). I enjoyed afternoon tea and dinner in the restaurants, which were both...

I stayed at this hotel, just for the one night. From the moment I arrived the experience I received was first class. Claudia who greeted me on reception was so helpful and is a real asset to the company. Breakfast staff also very professional, friendly and helpful, I would defiantly recommend this hotel. Location is a stone throw away from...

Stayed for a weekend football match and a following week of work in London. Super location, very helpful staff. Had breakfast in the lounge as a frequent traveller; one of the best lounge services I've had. Reception staff is very helpful and courteous, rooms are roomy and cosy. Too bad I travelled with junior, should bring the mrs next time.

We stayed at the Grosvenor House last week for 4 nights. It was our first time in London and this hotel made the visit even more special! From the moment our car arrived, we were treated wonderfully. Check in was a breeze, with the only hiccup being our key wouldn't work. A passing employee tried to help but a quick...

This hotel has a very enviable location, the public areas are quite opulent and well presented but the room I stayed in was a dated, it had excellent facilities and was very clean but just a little old fashioned. I could not praise the staff enough for their attitude, they were professional but friendly and courteous without being over the...

Front of House manager Stefanie recently upgraded us to one of their newly refurbished suites. They are superb. Not to say they weren't previously but the new décor is elegant, restful, with wonderful attention to detail. The bathrooms retain their art deco style but with new wet room type showers and modern fittings. Add the new Executive lounge and this...

From the moment you walk in the hotel you feel welcome. I was worried about feeling out of place in an exclusive 5 * hotel in one of Londons most affluent areas...but it wasn't an issue. The doormen/ concierge department were very helpful and knowledgable of the area. Reception staff were very efficient. Had a bit of trouble getting into...

We went to the J W Steakhouse in the Grosvenor House Hotel for Sunday lunch today with friends. We arrived early and had drinks in the bar first, served by the nicest barman/waiter. We were given plenty of 'nibbles' with the drinks too. As the restaurant was quiet we chose which table to sit at. Very quickly our waiter, Benjamin,...

We spent one night, celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. We arrived mid afternoon, but thought we might be able to check in, which we were able to do. On checking in we were welcomed by a charming young guy called Giancarlo, although he had only worked there for a couple of weeks, he was very engaging, polite and a pleasure to...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

  • Looking into the double-part bathroom from the entryway.
  • Front part of the marble bath.
  • Crap view from our room. But, at least, it was quiet.
  • Back part of bathroom. The toilet had some flushing issues.
  • Comfy King bed
