Was a guest at a recent charity Ball with over 1,000 attending in the Great Room. This remains one of the best and largest hotel function facilities in the capital with a deservedly high reputation. There are ante-rooms for pre-Dinner drinks parties, plenty of cloakrooms, wide spaces and a breath-taking balcony surrounding the main floor. Service was first class, the...

I stayed at Grosvenor recently for one night on a business trip including an event being held at the hotel. There was a warm welcome with friendly staff opening the door to the hotel on arrival. Check in was smooth and I was given a room on the first floor. The room was comfortable with single twin beds (for single...

This was our third or fourth visit and once again we were not disappointed. Celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary, we were upgraded to a lovely spacious room with a huge bathroom and literally didn't have to lift a finger during our two-day stay. Reception staff are super - at least in our experience - as was room service. Nothing was...

I recently spent 4 nights at the Grosvenor House, Marriott in central London as a guest of a business client. On arrival and check in at he hotel I was asked to provide credit card details/swipe for any personal incidentals. Quite normal at any international hotel. Before arriving at my room my credit card registered a debit of 400 pounds...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I regret to hear of the challenges you describe. I can confirm that a pre authorisation for incidental charges was processed on arrival to your nominated credit card. Upon departure a settlement for a charge that appeared on your account was made. It is my understanding you are currently in...

What a relaxing location opposite Hyde Park sipping the best Kir Royale with a nice bowl of nibbles watching the world go by in the bay windows. A perfect resting place when it's cold and wet and not far from Oxford Street after a day's shopping.

My friend came over from Dubai and was staying at this hotel, so I met him at the downstairs lobby to grab a drink. While my friend waited for me, I asked reception for the washrooms, and they started laughing at my face at the fact Im not staying at the hotel but I wanted to use the toilet. How...

Very good place. Typical british - classy, vintage experience with modern taste, gentlemeny. Perfect service - you know you are safe when you ask about something and hear 'It would be my pleasure, sir'.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
