We stayed at this Novotel because the the weekend rate. Not in new room. Could not make a reservation on-line when I set up the stay in January. When I called in I requested a quiet room away from the elevator, when I checked-in I requested the same and received a room in front of the elevator. Went back to...

Stayed at Novotel Tower Hill, which is a fabulous location, with my wife and two children. Restaurant service was excellent but the hotel really let itself down by the temperature of the room. I compained twice and was eventually given a fan (only when I asked). Staff on reception didn't appear to care that my family could not sleep, due...

Beautiful modern hotel. The staff was incredibly kind. The room we had was nice. However, we were aware of refurbished rooms and unfortunately we got an old room. Nevertheless, these were provided with all the necessities. Like few other traveller-reviews, we agree on the limited channels they have. In addition, due to the renovation, it was quite noisy during daytime....

It's a second time I was staying in this hotel. The room now was freshly refurbished which was nice. However they have problem with the AC system in the room - it was too hot and I was not able to cool the room down. AC at 5degrees and full fan did not help. I reported that to the reception...

Very well located hotel for south east London. We were in London to visit the Imperial War Museum and Greenwich and found both easy to get to. A trip to the West End in the evening was straightforward. Lovely view of the Tower of London as we came out of the tube station - very close to the hotel. Very...

The Novotel met our needs for a short 1 night stay in London. We had a discounted rate booked through a third-party website which was reasonable although the standard prices for the rooms are very expensive but I guess you are paying for the central location in London. The room was very clean with an immaculate bathroom with separate toilet....

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on-line. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
