We really enjoyed our stay in the guardsman for a night away to see Hamilton. The hotel is in a lovely location and serves a fabulous breakfast. The bed was super comfortable and the whole give is stylish and luxurious. Very close to underground station. Couldn't fault our stay. All the staff were fab, Camilo in particular was super friendly and helpful.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at The Guardsman for a couple of nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is a short walk from Victoria Underground station, situated in a beautifully elegant neighbourhood, not far from The Queen’s house, and easy to find. The check-in process was smooth, and the hotel staff were friendly and eager to help. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, if a little small. It was fitted out well though, with top quality bedding, towels, and toiletries, and coffee/tea making facilities. The TV was hidden behind a mirrored wall, and only became visible when it was switched on, which was pretty cool. We had breakfast included in our room rate, and it was very good. You chose from a menu offering quite a few options, we had a full English, kippers, smoked salmon & scrambled egg, and smashed avocado with poached eggs, over the two mornings. All very well prepared and beautifully presented in their comfortable breakfast room. To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay at The Guardsman, and we would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Lovely glass of champagne whilst we waited for our room. Beautiful room with everything we needed. Lovely little surprise dessert waiting for us in our room for our anniversary too. Thanks very much.

What a lovely hotel! The day before we were due to arrive, we had an email from Guest Services to see if there was anything special they could arrange, ready for our arrival, and this level of service set the tone for the stay. We were treated to a complimentary drink in the lounge, which was very welcome on a warm day. We were then taken up to our room (luggage had already been transferred while we were relaxing) and shown the high-tech features and left to settle in. The room was somewhat small (booked via Secret Escapes, so to be expected) but perfectly formed and was clean and well maintained. I think, if I were to stay more than two nights, I would choose a bigger room and then I could actually unpack, rather than living out of my suitcase - such was the lack of drawer/storage space. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the rainforest shower was lovely with lots of hot water and complimentary toiletries. We had breakfast downstairs both mornings of our stay and the food was absolutely delicious! The restaurant staff were very attentive, as were the reception and security staff. I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the IMechE (business trip), but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for either business or pleasure. I'd recommend The Guardsman to anyone; in fact, my daughter and her partner have already booked!

We've lived in and stayed all over London for both work and pleasure. Let me just say how amazing the experience was at the Guardsman.... From the great location to the personalized service and most importantly to us these days, the accomodations for our young daughter, include a small stuffed bear and the baby friendly bathing products. We'll be back to the Guardsman.

We were looking for a comfortable hotel with convenient location. And this is what we got: a very comfortable hotel (bed was excellent) with spacious rooms (not always the case in London) and the location was even too convenient. I booked the hotel long before the passing the HM Queen Elizabeth, with all preparations to the funeral we were just in the eye of the storm at Guardsman's location.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to celebrate a birthday. I'd read all the reviews and had high hopes for a lovely stay. The room was ok although on the small side. I like the high tech feel of the TV which projects onto a mirrored wall. It was clean, just a bit cramped. We had breakfast which was pretty bad. I asked for boiled egg and "soldiers" to dip. The eggs were hard boiled so no dipping possible, and the toast was not toasted and came with no butter. It made me a bit nervous about our dinner reservation which we'd booked for ourself and 2 guests. The food was ok (nothing more) but the service was awful. We weren't offered drinks and it took ages for someone to take our order. We had to ask for the wine list which seemed to be a problem. We had to ask for appropriate cutlery. One of our party ordered something and was told "It's unavailable because of the system" - what kind of answer is that? The waitress seemed very unhappy having to deal with us. We moved to the bar afterwards. The barman was equally unwelcoming. It felt that serving us we was too much trouble and they would rather we left, which was odd. One of our party has a disability and so could not easily get around otherwise we would have gone elsewhere, but we were stuck, feeling a little self conscious and awkward as three members of staff, one man, two women, leant on the counter and watched us. Not one of them even smiled although we were all very polite. It was early evening so not as if we were causing people to stay late. The hotel is very nicely situated for Buckingham Palace, Victoria, and so from a tourist point of view that's good. I honestly am baffled reading other people's reviews!

Located a short walk from Buckingham Palace and St James Park (and tube station), the Guardsman is a great hotel. Staff are polite and attentive with luggage porter tending to luggage on arrival. A free welcome drink is offered, including alcoholic if chosen, and is offered in the lounge area whilst your room details are confirmed. Hotel is bright, modern and art-deco ish in aesthetic. We were kindly provided an upgrade for our 1 night anniversary stay and a lovely anniversary plate provided in the room. Rooms are spacious, modern and relaxing. Robes, slippers, coffee, tea and amenities provided with a safe, hangers and mini bar available also. Rooms have underfloor heating in bathroom with touch control panels throughout. Nice touch that the TV doubles as a mirror. Only qualm would be that the bed could be a little bigger given the price for rooms etc, but it was comfy none the less. Would recommend for those looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay whilst in London.

Hotel really is amazing, the hotel is pure luxury, but feels more than that, with the amazing staff, The Guardsman room is incredible, the bathroom, makes the room for me, Prime location, the breakfast was first class too, the service was second to none, and lastly special mention to Cam on the front desk, very friendly and a top guy. We will 100% be back.

Stayed for two nights in August 2022. It's a new hotel with few reviews and I found a great price on Expedia for the entry level room. It was a gamble but turned out to be a great choice. The best feature is definitely the location. Right near St James Park underground station it is super easy to get anywhere in London you need to be and walking distance to some of London's best neighborhoods like SoHo or Belgravia. At the same time, it's a quite location and not noisy so the best of both worlds. The hotel itself is quite small. Indeed, it is very easy to miss the front door to the hotel which is quite discreet. When you step into the small lobby you will be greeted by some of London's best front desk staff. Our entry-level room was small (but we knew that already) but well appointed. I'm sure there are larger rooms available. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants so cant comment on the food. There are lots of choices for cafe breakfasts around the hotel it was unnecessary to eat at the hotel. In retrospect I cant really think of a bad thing to say about it.
