Hotel's Favourite
We have been in London for vacation and are extremely happy with our choice of accommodation during our stay. Nimfa was so kind during our stay. She was friendly and made sure we had a nice warm drink and breakfast. Sajjad was able to store our luggage until our room was available and also was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed him. The hotel is nicely decorated for the holidays, and the location is very handy to the V&A, bus routes, shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this place.

First of all, the service and the staff were one of the best I've had in London. I arrived at 7am after a long flight looking to leave my luggage at concierge and go about my days business but the front desk quickly said, let me just check if we have a room for you to check in early and BINGO, they did and I could have a much needed shower before going off for the day.
The hotel is beautiful and given we are in SW3, a huge room. Either it has been refurbished or they have done an excellent job to upkeep it and update everything like technology in the room.
The location is probably not the best if you have most of your business in Mayfair or in the City. It's around a 8-10mins walk from South Ken/Gloucester road tube station and taxi in would cost you a fairbit.
If you are here on holiday however, you are bang in the middle of South Ken and a 10mins walk from the museum cluster and within walking distance to Kings Road, Fulham Road, Chelsea and knightsbridge further along.

We had a wonderful stay at 100 Queen's Gate Hotel for our honeymoon in February and were very impressed with the quality of service provided by the team. We were always met with a friendly smile and felt that they went out of the way to ensure we had a really pleasant stay. Our room was pristine and comfortable with tasteful décor, and towels and sheets were changed regularly on request. The hotel restaurant served delicious, well presented food by excellent waiters. Wouldn't hesitiate to recommend this lovely hotel to friends. Joshua and Rebecca.

So what defines a 5 Star Hotel? Appearance? Locality? Gymnasium? Softness of the Toilet Paper? Is so 100 Queen’s Gate May be classed as a 5 Star Hotel. However, if classification is based on customer service and experience, then I am afraid this establishment barely gets a 3 Star rating.
Check-in was chaotic and poorly organised. I wasn’t actually convinced that the lady behind the desk knew what she was doing. Rooms are small and the bathrooms smaller still. Extend your arms and turn through 360 degrees and you’ll, more or less, be able to touch all the walls!
Room was lacking basic items - towels, water etc. and it took over 2 hours after 2 phone calls and 1 trip to reception, for these items to appear!
Furthermore there seems to be a lack of housekeeping staff, with rooms not cleaned and serviced until late in the afternoon and, on one day, not at all, with no word of apology.
The breakfast buffet is ok, but lacking in the basic needs of someone with allergies to gluten and diary. Having stayed in many hotels where these are easily catered for, we were hugely disappointed. It is embarrassing for a hotel when the customer has to go to the local Waitrose and purchase some dairy free spread and gluten free cake/biscuits, so as to enjoy a semblance of a normal breakfast.
I’d avoid paying for an inclusive breakfast and slip out to one of the local cafes, that are all within a 3 minute walk.
Ate at CERU, Bar Margaux and Casa Brindisi - all very good and within a 5 minute walk. The important museums are just round the corner and South Kensington tube is 5 minutes walk away.
Won’t be staying here again!

I stayed at this hotel in mid March as I found myself needing to travel unavoidably for work.
It’s a great find - on the edge of Kensington, nice and quiet but close enough to the High Street.
The service was really slick and although part of the big Hilton engine, it felt really boutique.
Would definitely stay next time I’m needing to be in Kensington.
The CleanStay programme makes you feel really safe, too. There were stickers to show the room, heavily used surfaces, and wardrobe had been sanitised and cleaned - assured you they took these protocols really seriously.

The hotel and our room was beautiful and exceptionally clean in a great location. Staff were friendly at check in. The little things like how to order breakfast were a little vague. I had booked the king duplex suite which states it sleeps 4, however the room was only really set up for 2, with just 2 towels and 2 each of the complimentary items in the mini bar. It wasn’t a massive issue but it would have been nice if it was set up for the number of people on the booking. Most disappointing was the standard of food and service in the resteraunt WA which hugely let us down. Included in the price of our room was £100 credit to spend at the resteraunt and bar. It was a special occasion and the menu online and pictures promoted on Social media looked amazing. The night before I got a text to say our meal would be in esq bar with the same menu and we would love it! We were very much looking forward to it! However when we arrived for our reservation at 8 the menu we were given was not that advertised online or on the board outside of the hotel. What we was given was an a3 sheet with a very limited menu that resembled more of a room service menu.
We went on to order soup of the day for 2 of us and calamari. There was only one waiter on duty who done a great job in difficult circumstances but the service was very very slow. Our starters arrived over an hour later. The calamari was just ok and burnt, the soup however was inedible and more like baby food it tasted nothing like I’ve ever tasted before and for the first time in our lives sent it back. We then awaited our main course of chicken breast and pea risotto another guest had the spaghetti, again this was just awful. The risotto was like mash with 3 slices of cheap processed chicken it tasted and smelt awful. The spaghetti was hard and looked like it had just been dipped in passata. We had to again send it back as it was inedible. The waiter was extremely apologetic as it seemed the standard of the food was a common issue with other guests complaining also. We left the resteraunt hungry and extremely disappointed, being a special occasion it had tarnished our experience of the hotel. We ended up having to order in a McDonald’s from uber not something you expect from a Hilton hotel! The complimentary breakfast was also no better, with cheese and salami tasting like it had been left out the fridge for days. After discussion with the duty manager we did get our £100 back after drinks but the whole experience ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday treat. What is promoted on social media is incredibly misleading!

Dear marly179, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. First of all I am happy to learn that you appreciated our beautiful and clean suite and the friendly staff. Please accept my sincere apologies for the missing amenities for the 2nd and 3rd guests. Please kindly note that most of our social media coverage is from pre pandemic standards and whilst we are operational since July 2020, there were certain changes to staffing levels to limit the chances of exposure to COVID and also to our menus, which needed to be reviewed on a weekly basis to fit demands and minimise waste. This of course does not justify your experience and I am truly sorry to learn that the inconvenience left its mark on a special occasion. I would like to ensure you that we are doing our uttermost to provide the expected quality in all of our Food & Beverage outlets and currently looking forward to be able to open our Restaurants and Bar again as soon as possible. Kind Regards, Viktor Csanyi Assistant Front of House Manager

We stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday. We booked well in advance in February.
We checked in and paid for the room. And was told there would be a £50 deposit, which was fine. And told how to get to our room.
Our first impression on the room was that is was very small (even though I had paid extra for a larger room) the room wasn’t very clean with stains on the carpet, the toilet was filthy, sticky marks on the cupboards, the remote had not been cleaned and dirty marks on the skirting boards. I had a bath and found long black hairs floating in the bath (which didn’t belong to either of us) We requested for reception to clean the room, to which we were told the room would only be cleaned upon request during our stay. Even after a 2nd clean it was no better.
I later checked my bank to find out £150 extra had been taken from my card. We queried this at reception to be told it was a £50 per night deposit- not £50 total. I have had to call once we returned home as this has still not been refunded, and have been told it will take 7 days.
We found the staff on reception to be quite stand offish and didn’t really care about anything we asked them.
The location was good but for a 4* hotel, I would have expected much more in terms of cleanliness and service.

My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary and stayed for one night.
Beautiful boutique decor throughout, rooms immaculate, bed comfortable.
Rooms offered complimentary drinks ( cold drinks ) tea & coffee pod machine.
The White Company products in the bathroom. Safe available at no cost.
When we arrived at our room, staff brought a bottle of fizz and cakes to celebrate our anniversary, this was really appreciated and such a nice touch.
Massive thank you to the staff, especially the male staff member who booked us in, your customer service was excellent and you couldn't do enough for us.
The only slight downside and I mean slight, was the noise from a workman opposite.
The hotel isn't situated on a major road but clearly there is work taking place opposite.
We were out in the afternoon but for the time we were in our room, the noise was quite loud...the windows were single paned and you could hear the noise. This wasn't a problem at night but I can see how sleeping during the day would be affected.
I'm sure if I had mentioned this to staff this would have been rectified and a room could have been offered away from the road...something to bare in mind for a midweek stay, if wishing to sleep during the day.
Other than the above, everything about this stay was perfect. Everything oozed cleanliness, even the doors in the room and the hotel room door was sealed for peace of mind.
Would definitely recommend...nearest train station to the hotel is South Kensington, ideal for heading into the city.
Cooked Breakfast £20 approx.

Terrible hotel.
I know this is probably cliché on here but it was close to a stay at Fawlty Towers. Almost every experience during our two night stay here was a joke.
Right from the offset, our experience was really bad. The guy that checked us in could not have been more disinterested, unhelpful or unfriendly if he had tried. There was an unbeknown-to-us issue with the travel agent not paying for the trip, and rather than showing any effort or willingness to help, he was extremely cold and unhelpful.
The room was nice (we went for one of the top rooms and had a City View Luxury King's Room), however a huge flaw was the toilet being just a few inches away from a shower with very little protection between the two. This meant that whenever my wife or I had a shower, the toilet would get soaked, as would the bathroom floor. This meant we'd find ourselves regularly cleaning the toilet and the bathroom floor every time either of us had a shower.
The television was faulty and just kept turning itself off which was pretty frustrating.
The breakfast was cold in the morning and when we mentioned it to a waitress, her response was to advise us that we should have got downstairs sooner. The couple next to us were flabbergasted by the waitress' response but they told us they were downstairs an hour before us and their breakfast was also cold. In the interest of clarity, we did eventually get a fresh breakfast that was not so cold.
We ordered room service one night and I have to say, the food was amazing. However, the ordering process was again like something from a comedy sketch. I wish I had recorded the conversation because it was like speaking with somebody who didn't know where they were let alone what was going on.
Even the checkout was a very unpleasant experience with an extremely unfriendly lady.
If you're looking for a hotel with extremely poor service throughout, this is the hotel for you.
If however, you don't like booking hotels that present themselves as "luxury" but the staff throughout treat you in a very bewildered and unfriendly way, it's probably best to avoid this place.
To be frank, I really don't enjoy complaining. However I feel I need to be honest and say this hotel massively fell short of delivering anything near what is an acceptable level of service, especially as a luxury hotel.
On a more positive note, the night manager was friendly and helpful and the only nice member of staff we encountered.

The hotel look wonderfully charming from the photos and its location in south Kensington has many great shops and restaurants.
We initially had problems with the booking that looked us in at a higher rate but let us change reservation dates. It was very odf to us that the staff didn’t offer a room upgrade given the significantly higher rate we were paying for the room we received.
The staff was largely apathetic and room was very small. We requested room cleaning service but frequently return from a days outing with nothing done.
Requested room service one night but the kitchen was closed and the concierge told me to try uber eats.
Wasnt a big deal at the time but went to other 5 star hotels on the second leg of our trip and received significantly better service. Thus, our stay at 100q remains the soar spot of our trip.

I am not sure, probably the bathroom will have a shower and not a tub
Apologies. We only saw our room and it looked out into the open Atrium area - view was mainly of the stairs going down into the bar area?
