We stayed here for 3 nights, and had a great stay with The Rubens. The location was only a 5 min walk to Buckingham Palace, as well as just a few minutes to the tubes. The staff were all friendly and made sure we were...More
What a great hotel The Rubens is. I was deliberating over which hotel to choose for our family of 5 and so only booked this on the morning we were due to arrive; the reservation assistant on the phone was really friendly so it was...More

We had a great stay at the Rubens at the Palace. Friendly, helpful staff printed our train tickets, provided umbrella that we forgot! We were in the smallest of rooms but it was still very nice. We weren't in it very much! The location is...More
The service by all of the staff was incredible. We arrived minutes before a tour was scheduled to start. The concierge called the tour company, grabbed our bags and hailed a taxi. We would not have made this connection without Victor's help.

This is a really great location, and it is a very quaint historical hotel. Staff were most helpful, included breakfast was very adequate, but other extras... afternoon tea etc, are quite expensive; £13.50 for tea for 2!

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

No shuttle, but if you arrange airport transfer with the Rubens it was a flat rate of £70 GBP from Heathrow no matter what traffic is like. It was great that they handled our luggage, on time, safe.....Heathrow Express was a cheaper option, but too much hassle with our baggage and one of us having an injured foot.
