it sounds like it ought to be a pub and indeed it does have a bar and restaurant but it is so much more... we stayed overnight having an evening meal on a sunday and stayed the night.. the room (Tobermory) was lovely and even had an outside terrace with table and chairs, pots and high walls... the staff were...

.... It just doesn't. I came for a second try after a pretty disastrous dinner three weeks ago, but it hasn't improved much. The mussels in cider were the star dish and smelled great, vanishing quickly through my companions' portals. But they didn't compensate for a failed - treacly, tepid, lifeless- pig cheek served with a crumble of black pudding...

The fox and grapes is a really nice gastro pub. Location is great, the staff is nice and the rooms are comfortable, calm and well decorated. The restaurant offers the traditionnal pub food with a high standard. To recommand.for a short stay or longer

The Fox and Grapes is a great little place in the heart of Wimbledon, it is warm and welcoming and the rooms are clean and spacious. It took a while for us to get into the room as we needed an early check in and it wasn't available. Other than that it was good. The continental breakfast was a little...

Fox and Grapes was always a favourite for many years. It was then turned into a gastro pub and some how lost its way. Now with the new owners it has regained its heart. Delighted! Good food and drink. Now to get them to light the fires.

Coming back from the wedding of some English friends we stayed at the Fox and Grapes and were very pleased with our choice - good sized room, well appointed bathroom, lots of nice complimentary toileteries. We were also pleased that the hotel was run by young people. We particularly appreciated the fact that breakfast was made from local produce.

The staff were very welcoming and more than happy to help. Our room was very pleasant but there was noise from the kitchen fans. If you live in the city this would be no big deal I suppose. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed overnight at the Fox and Grapes after attending our Grandson's 4th birthday party elsewhere. As we had had a barbecue as part of his celebrations we didn't require an evening meal. We arrived at the Fox and Grapes around 7:30 pm looking forward to a relaxing evening with a glass of wine. We hadn't realised that the downstairs...

Dear Jane, thank you for your review. As you can tell we are not the largest of hostelries, tucked just off the common. What we lack in size we look to make up in food, service and ambience. I have noted your comments regarding our continental offer and will be reviewing our guest breakfast offer shortly with the hope of...

My husband & I recently returned from our first Wimbledon Tennis experience. We chose to stay within walking distance to the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet grounds. The Fox and Grapes ticked all the boxes we required. It was well within walking distance, the room was quaint, neat & clean. The food was incredibly good and the staff friendly...
