We are a family of 3 adults traveling with 1 toddler and 1 baby. We booked a family room for 3 nights. The room is small but it is functional as we just needed it for us to sleep. Best of all is the breakfast, full English breakfast that is so delicious that will last us till the afternoon, the...

We checked out so many hotels before booking the Alhambra. We were apprehensive about this hotel as we felt the price was too good to be true. We were so happy to arrive there and meet such a friendly receptionist who put us at ease straight away. Our room was small but very clean, had tea making facilities and we...

I only stayed one night, but had phoned up the hotel the night before to change the type of room I wanted and reception were really helpful. As a single business traveler arriving late in London by train, I wanted somewhere very close to Kings Cross and the Alhambra was just the place. There are plenty of shops nearby too...

We came to London for 1 night and booked in at the Alhambra. Busy reception but very friendly, efficient staff. One of our party could not get upstairs but staff soon moved him to a ground floor room in one of their 2 annexes across the road. Our party of 10 were well impressed with the cleanliness, decoration and the...

Alhambra was a perfect fit for a tourist visit to London. With both the King's Cross station and the British Library just a few steps away, it made everything on the metro line and by train (such as London Heathrow Airport, which is important when you're dragging luggage!) totally and quickly accessible. We got tons of sightseeing done in the...

This hotel has 4 key strengths: 1) a superb location across the street from St. Pancras/King's Cross station. It's also very near 2 libraries, an HSBC bank, and many good restaurants. 2) friendly and attentive staff 3) an excellent hot breakfast cooked to your specifications. 4) spotlessly clean rooms with new carpets, good lighting, free room safes, and comfortable beds....

Stayed just one night but found the hotel quite adequate for my needs. It is conviniently placed very close to St. Pancra/King's Cross station - very handy if you're arriving from Gatwick Airport and have to go to The Guardian, which I had. All within a few minutes of walking distance. Hotel staff is actually friendly and the British Breakfast...

The Alhambra Hotel was clean, well located and comfortable. I was down on an overnight trip with my work and needed affordable budget accommodation and the hotel was an ideal choice. It's a three minute walk from Kings Cross train station. Staff were friendly and approachable, the twin room (number 2) was small but perfectly clean and tidy. The shower...

I’m not one to write poor reviews, generally I'm very much a 'look on the bright side' kind of person, but I was quite disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The first thing I would say is that the staff were in the majority polite and doing their best, but appeared overworked. On two occasions when at the reception...

Dear Guest, We are sorry if you have not fully enjoyed your stay with us. Your opinion matters. Our customer service levels have always been our greatest success and staff are constantly trained and reminded on the procedures of telephone handling and checking in guests. Our service is friendly and yet efficient. On this occasion the staff member should have...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
