When we planned the trip my bf said we have to stay at the Windermere; it's a wonderful, family-run hotel near Victoria station. It exceeded my expectations. The rooms are nicely appointed, showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast is included, hot/continental - a rarity. The staff is friendly and can't do enough for you. I'll...

In a way, I chose Windermere Hotel becouse the name remembered me a play by Oscar Wilde: „ Lady Windermere's Fan”. Suprisingly, I have descoverd a reflection of XIX th century background in that edifice. It is a quiet and elegant place, well-handled by a nice stuff. The room is very clean, adorned in delicat colours, the bathroom has a...

Our third floor room was quiet and private. The room and bath were both ample in size and nicely kept; we were quite pleased to use this hotel as our base for a five day visit to London. The hotel restaurant was cozy and the staff friendly. We ate our breakfast (included) there every morning. I would recommend this hotel...

Blocks from Victoria Station, this family owned hotel is immaculate with a level of personal service that is difficult to find these days. Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
