Spent last night at the Goring. Excellent service at check in, at the bar, at breakfast and at check out. Friendly and highly efficient. Definitely 5 star. The fish and chip was delicious and one must try Hendricks if you are a fan of martini's or gin and tonic.

Dear Denis C, Thank you for your great review about your recent stay with us at The Goring. Whilst The Goring Dining Room is absolutely the best place to enjoy fine British cuisine in town, our Garden Bar serves some of the most enjoyable 'comfort food' - with both the Fish & Chips and the Scottish Lobster Omelette being at...

Our trips to London are always too hectic and we often only ever see the hotel bedroom for a few hours, never the rest of the hotel. This time, we allowed time and moved up from our normal budget to stay first time at this truly wonderful hotel. My wife said it felt like home - wow I have clearly...

After reading about The Goring Hotel I decided that I wanted to stay there with my husband on our recent trip, and it was a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel itself is 105 years old, has hand painted walls, gorgeous furniture and lighting everywhere, beautiful rooms, a courtyard garden, and a five star restaurant that lives up to...

Dear Robin P, Thank you for writing such an enchanting review about your recent stay with us at The Goring. The hotel, and its enchanting gardens have been in the same family for the 105 years too - with Mr Jeremy Goring now at the helm. We are all exceedingly proud of being part of London's oldest, luxury hotel still...

We came to this hotel, already taking in the London scene, and this hotel was just another awesome piece of my London trip, we walked in and I felt like royalty as we walked in and were already treated very kindly by the staff. Visited for a Saturday light lunch in the beautiful croquet lawn garden. Everything about the place oozes class. No wonder royalty stay here. The food and wine were superb, as was the service. You feel a world away from the busy London streets. I was not resident, so I can't comment on the rooms.

Stayed at The Goring a few years ago but I'm this review now 'cause I just joined TripAdvisor. The hotel is one the finest I have ever been to and I always choose only four and five star hotels. Very good service, extremely fine breakfast and nice, tastefully decorated (standard) room. I would also recommend the afternoon tea at The...

We stayed at the Goring Hotel as part of a Cunard pre-cruise package for two nights. The staff served us tea in our room as we settled into our garden view room. Stayed here on 21/6 for one night. We took the standard queen bed room (Delightful). The room was small, but well planned, so we felt at ease moving around, with enough space for all our luggage. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
