This private hotel was a real find, just a short walk from Russell square. The room on the first floor was small yet very clean. As with all styles of this hotel in London the bathroom was compact yet very clean with a great shower....More
My daughter and I just spent three nights at this hotel. It is situated on a quiet road just around the corner from the British Museum and a block from Russell Square and pretty much equidistant from the Russell Square, Euston, and Goodge Street Tube...More
I have stayed on this hotel three times. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size. The staff has always been friendly and very helpful. Their breakfasts get a traveler off to a good start. I heartily recommend this hotel.
Being built in 1800 this B & B displays some of the quirky features of an old building,- squeaky floorboards, minuscule bathroom etc BUT the shower is hot and responsive! Wi Fi also worked a treat. We found our room on the ground floor immaculate...More
We've stayed at the Thanet each time we visit London - my husband considers it his "London home away from home," as it is so convenient and hospitable, and offers a delightful, cooked-to-order breakfast. It is a small, family-run hotel, run by the family of...More

Hey Julie, This was our first time to London. So we did the usual tourist stuff during the day and relaxed during the evening time. Our daughter was there for 3 months studying abroad, so we let her show us around. Like John said there are plenty of places to eat. We like the Night and Day restaurant around the corner. If you have time, take a bus or walk to Honest Burger just a mile or so away. It was great food. The city mapper app is awesome and I highly recommend it. It will let you know how long it will take to walk, tub, or bus to any location in London. We used it every day.
