The hotel itself is so well kept. The cleanliness is next-level. The hotel just smells rich and for a budget hotel this blew me away. The last time I was impressed by the smell of luxury was on a cruise. It’s not something I’ve found in many places for them to have a characteristic scent but this hotel smelt heavenly. The customer service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast staff were so kind and mindful. A receptionist in particular, Elaina was so beyond lovely and really made my mum’s stay by changing our room to one with a bath tub. Most people don’t bother with something so minor but Elaina did. The location was practically perfect - within a 20 minute walking distance of the westend and oxford street. Not to mention the bus stop was just around the corner. I will definitely be staying here again if we were to come back to London.

The City Sleeper side of the Royal National Hotel is well situated for touring London. We stayed a week. Once you get your bearings it is easy to navigate museums and places of interest. Russell Square park is lovely to visit as well. There are grocery stores nearby for snacks and water. The British Museum is a 10 min walk away. There are many good restaurants near to have dinner and breakfast. I had breakfast at the Hotel upon arrival but ventured out into the area after that. The beds were comfortable but not the pillows. We liked the products in the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were excellent

I had a Double Plus room, the only one available, and my request for a quiet room was fulfilled. Apart from a lack of table the furnishings were comparable to the Bedford and Tavistock. It seems like a very well run hotel, especially considering how many guests are accommodated. I was especially impressed by the very quick response of Housekeeping at 10 pm to a soup spillage. I waited no more than two minutes before someone appeared with a wet and dry vac. I would have no hesitation about staying again, although I have avoided this very large hotel in the Imperial family for many years.

My family of 4 adults stayed in 2 rooms here. Out room with 2 separate beds was spacious enough for us both as was the bathroom. The shower had great water pressure too which is always a bonus when travelling 😊 Location was great with tube stops within walking distance though many places are within a lovely walk. We ate dinner in the attached Pub restaurant which was lovely and buffet breakfast was great also.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and i had my doubts as the Royal National hasn't got the best reputation but I was very pleased with our stay. The location is excellent- just off Russell Square, a couple of minutes walk from the British Museum, within easy walking distance of Euston, King's Cross, St Pancras, Soho, the West End and the river. Our room was always spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage and tea/coffee provided. Only issue with the room was the lack of plug sockets- there were only a couple. Staff, with the exception of one receptionist, were very helpful and polite. The price was excellent- around £100 per night which for Central London is unbeatable. I'd certainly be happy to stay again

The hotel initially was like a maze, until you figure out which elevator takes you closer to your room. The location is excellent to explore London The reception staff and staff dotted around everywhere were always polite greeting us in the morning and when we were coming back at night. There is luggage storage which was really helpful if you arrive early The hotel is huge and there is a breakfast option - although you do have a huge pret and Starbucks across the road The rooms were clean enough, and sufficient for a good night's sleep. We did have issues with a large group near us and had to call reception as by midnight after a hour of hoping they would quieten down themselves (we were all young once) they didn't Reception immediately sent someone up and the rest of the night was peaceful. You can request a room away from the main street which is handy. I wouldn't leave any valuables in the room as we left and we know our suitcases were opened and looked through - nothing valuable left in them so nothing missing. Its a basic hotel, but perfect for the price, location and just somewhere to have a shower and a decent night's sleep. We would return, but with padlocks for our suitcase. The configuration is also great as we had 3 actual single beds rather than a bed and a sofa bed which is common in hotels.
