I recently stayed here with my fiance the poitives were the price and location. However, the noise level in this hotel was an issue, the walls were like paper and the windows were draughty and definatly not sound proof! Also there was no hair dryer in the room they told me if i wanted one i would have to go...

Just returned tonight from a 2-night stay in this hotel and do not understand all the bad reviews, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. The only thing I disliked about it is that it is so big it was VERY busy but had absolutely no problems whatsoever. The size/thickness of the towels was hotel standard (if not happy...

We paid £99.00 each for two nights bed & breakfast including rail travel from Newcastle. The cheapest return rail fare we could find was £72.00. So for another £27.00 each we got two nights bed & breakfast. DOWNSIDES The hotel is massive and the rooms are at best functional and could do with a make over. Not the cleanest of...

When booking this trip the option of "early check in" was available. When we arrived at the hotel at 9am, at reception we were told they "did not have early check in". They did hold our luggage and told us to return at 2pm. Upon our return the lobby was packed with alot of groups checking in. The hotel staff...

As soon as we saw the hotel, it looked as if it was about to crumble from one cause or another. The hotel was a bargain, but booking a room was a regrettable decision, we hoped not to believe the bad reviews, but they were all true. Some of the staff in the hotel; on the main desk, at the...

Stayed here for two nights in Feb 2010. Location good, bus stops outside and near a tube.Five mins walk to British Museum. Hotel reception staff pleasant and efficient. Porters & luggage drop works well. The bedroom was basic but clean, with clean linen. Bathroom was a good size but the towels were very thin and not large enough. Could have...

As soon as we saw this hotel we new it was going to be bad. I read the reviews before we went and was hoping they were not true, but they were. We arrived at about 12.30pm and got booked in straight away, which was good. The room was very basic the bathroom was small and not very clean as the...

The beds were at least 30 years old. You could not regulate the heating in the bedroom. Breakfast if you could call it that was worse than prison food i imagine. The tea was made in a stainless steel cauldron. The toast was not toast it was warm bread. The untensils had not seen a good clean for months. The...

I am here now and I can tell you all the bad reviews are accurate! There's no customer service, and at night the hotel staff allow large groups of rowdy unchaperoned teenagers to congregate and drink alcohol in the courtyard until 2am! We can't sleep a wink and when we complain, the hotel staff do nothing but shrug! STAY AWAY!...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
