We just returned from having stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel was fine and the price for London was reasonable. The very good thing is the location. It's very close to the Gloucester tube station. I've stayed in hotels in London that I've liked better but because of the location and price I would stay here again.

We stayed for only one night while attending a Royal Albert Hall concert. The welcome was excellent, the location was just right, an easy walk to the Hall or to Harrods, the room was small but it had everything, comfortable, bright and clean. We needed a taxi and being just by the Holiday Inn the reception staff said it would...

Although nothing out of the ordinary, this hotel is good, central with the underground station and various restaurants very near, clean, good continental breakfast and free WiFi. Not easy to find a better deal in Central London

We came to stay for three nights while I did the moonwalk for breast cancer. My wife and 2 children came down to support me from the Friday to Monday and we were very happy with our triple room. The room was a very decent size with nice, clean en suite bathroom. Due to the nature of my trip we...

The Villa Kensington is in a brilliant location, just a couple of minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel and rooms are very clean, well maintained. Very comfy bed, one of the best showers I have ever seen in a hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing bad at all to say about this hotel, just wish we...

The Villa Kensington is in a good location near to the underground station. Very clean rooms. Bit small rooms but ok. Centerally located. Nice breakfast included. Value of money. Being close to this place make many attractions near to you. Will return to the same hotel in my next visit to London.

Spent 5 nights in the Villa Kensington in London. The first room we were given, 105, was next to the elevator, lots of mechanical noise, and so small that you could not open the bathroom door all the way. The only place you could open your suitcase was on the bed. The next night we requested another room and got...

Perfectly placed in kensington, just 3 minuttes walk from Gloucester tube station. The rooms to the back of the hotel is very quite, the breakfast is ok. Make sure to book the 11m2 rooms, since these are small enough.

Enjoyed our brief stay at the Villa Kensington which is central for theatres and general site seeing. The room was clean and pleasant overlooking the front of the hotel, even so it was very quiet. The shower room was great and one I could have stayed in for hours. Breakfast was continental and self service which allowed one to have...

For 3 stars it's amazing, the staff are very helpful, the rooms are clean, the shower powerful and hot. There are tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits in the rooms and the shower has toiletries. It is 10 mins from Royal Albert Hall and 10 Mins fro. The museums. Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
