We stayed in a 'standard triple studio' room with three single beds plus a small roll-in cot (all very comfortable), a mini-kitchen that worked well, and a mini bathroom with shower that worked well. We knew that the room would be small, it did feel...More
5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube with restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. Small, dirty, and untidy 1 bed studio. Bed was among the worst I have ever tried to sleep in. Staff was friendly, but could not make up for all the flaws.
Positive things first: The hotel is located in fancy Kensington, just a 5-minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station. Supermarkets, Restaurants and Pubs are within walking distance. With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
