This was our first return after almost 10 years so my wife and I were keen to see if standards had been maintained. We were delighted to find that they had improved. The attention we received from staff, especially the reception and concierge were exceptional. We received a complimentary upgrade to a fabulous junior suite when they could not provide...

If you're looking for opulent surroundings or a chic boutique hotel the Grange City is not your place. Rather, it is a solid business hotel with good service, small, slightly outdated rooms (but clean and quiet) and a great location just steps away from the Tower Hill tube station and the insurance district. Continental breakfast was included with my room...

I stayed at the Grange City twice in two weeks, first for 2 nights then the next week another 2 nights. My first time I had a perfectly fine room and everything was well, when a leak began in the entryway of my room at 3:00 AM. I called down at 3:30 AM because it was increasing, and understandably they...

This hotel is superbly situated for the City and Tower Bridge area. We were given an upgrade to an executive room on the 8th floor and we loved it. It was spacious, with great views. The bed was supremely comfortable. It's right by Fenchurch St station, too. For the price we paid it was a total bargain, including continental breakfast...

We recently stayed at the Grange City because of it's proximity to the Tower of London. From the moment we arrived, the staff were super helpful and friendly. They even gave us an upgrade to a high floor facing the Tower. We were also lucky enough to try their Indian buffet. I am normally NOT a buffet fan. It's usually...

Myself and partner stayed here last night! The most amazing hotel we have stayed in!! Lobby is lovely, swimming pool and spa facilities couldn't fault - 5*. The room was incredible - was on the 4th floor- was quiet and didn't hear any outside noise. Black out curtains meant we didn't get woken up too early... The bathroom was big...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
