The location of this hotel is excellent no more than 20mins from any major London train station when using the tube, it approximately 1 mins walk from Tower Hill tube Stn. On arrival we where quickly checked in and where given a free upgrade to a executive room with views over looking Tower Bridge, Tower of London and the Shard....

Brilliant location, right next to tower hill tube station Nice big room, clean & spacious, good sized bathroom. Great gym & pool (although pool is quite cold) with accessible opening hours (6 - 10). Only let down was the poor service in the restaurant, so bad that we went next door for breakfast the next day.

Have stayed in this hotel many times and one of best value in London. Rooms are fantastic some with great views over London and service first class. Food is excellent and staff polite and helpful plus reception always helpful. Close to city airport and tube station for travel.

This is not our first time at The Grange City, as we come regularly, whenever we visit London. We last stayed in October 2016 and we was informed that on New Years Eve the hotel offers a Gala Night which includes food, drinks and entertainment. We decided to give it a try and It was worth every penny. For this,...

Room service was appalling after waiting over an hour for 2 club sandwiches that were cold and hardly any filling, costing us £28. After complaining no action was taken and manger avoided sorting this!

Title says it all. If this is a five star hotel I am dreaming! Paid over 200 pounds a night to find ourselves next to the elevator looking at a wall? Shower is a bathtub with a dirty fence. Really not the five star we counted on and paid for! Never again. #secretescapes

I booked a room through lastminute.com and was delighted with the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the room clean and extremely comfortable with a good selection of refreshments and all the usual facilities expected in a five star hotel. Best nights sleep in a hotel for some time. Will definitely return.

What a shambles, allocated a room that was not even a bedroom but swiftly changed to OK but shabby room. Breakfast is a joke, waited 25mins to be seated despite many seats be available, quality of the food 2 out of 10, poor choice and quality of ingredients, the cheapest possible!. Staff disorganised and disinterested... Would not come back!

Good hotel located within 10 mins of West end and shops. Brilliant for the British Museum and Fitzrovia. Room was comfortable enough no great views and was starting to look little lived in. Kids loved the pool and the Bar was well-stocked staff were friendly & efficient. To be honest this was better than average but not very good given...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
