Firstly it is really hard to find fault with this hotel. Staff were very courteous, helpful and always had a welcoming smile. Our view from the 10th floor was the best I have ever had, and I have stayed in a few hotels in my time. Stunning views of Tower of London and the poppies, London Bridge and the Shard... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Grange. It is a lovely hotel with friendly staff. We had breakfast.. But we didn't have dinner as there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The pool and spa area were spotless..just what you need after a long days sightseeing! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we got upgraded to... More

I stayed here last week for one night for my birthday. We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the past years, the last time was perhaps 4 years ago so I was interested to see if the standard had changed at all. The hotel still looked spectacular as you arrive, clean, shiny and the staff always eager... More

We stopped here to see the poppies which were only a two minute walk away, lovely clean hotel, lovely staff, great position.the only thing I could moan about was the price of breakfasts which were more than three or four time what I would expect to pay ,I didn't have one of course.other than that a fantastic hotel that I would certainly... Stopped at this Grange several times now, most recent being Oct 2014. Lovely clean and spacious rooms with nice bathrooms with lovely fluffy towels. Best of all is the location. It is right opposite Tower of London, only 10 mins walk to London Bridge for The Shard, Borough Market, HMS Belfast, etc. Health club and pool nice and clean with... More

Just got back from 2 nights here and I want to say a big thank you to everyone concerned at the hotel for a lovely stay. I received a complimentary upgrade as it was my partners first trip to London which was a lovely and very much appreciated touch. The rooms are very comfortable, and the whole ambience of the... Booked in easy, parking a good walk away in NCP carpark. Room was fine, but mattress had seen better days, within 10 minutes we had been moved to another room, upgraded for the inconvenience, and assisted with luggage move. Could not fault the response. Staff very nice and helpfull. View from the balcony was great. Breakfast was very good.

I guess you're wondering why I am giving it 3 stars even though my review is titled "Lovely Hotel"? Well, read on. It is a 2 minute walk either way to Fenchurch St Station (for British Rail) and Tower Hill Underground... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
